The flavour text makes no sense anyway because why would that mean it's not cold-blooded?

If a snake (or any other cold-blooded mammal) was in an environment like Balduvia for any period of time, they'd enter a state of suspended animation. Their bodies stop working. That's why there are no cold-blooded animals native to the Arctic or Antarctic.

No, I know that. What I'm saying is that the flavour text for Ohran Viper implies that having antifreeze compounds in your blood means you're not cold-blooded, which is not true.

It has antigelid venom in its veins, not blood. Hence not cold-blooded or any type of blooded. Sentence 2 is not a reason for sentence one, it`s the alternative.

The terms warm blooded and cold blooded don't have anything important to do with the properties of the creatures' blood, or even the presence of it They are misnomers for the terms endothermic and exothermic. Mata Hari's point stands.

It has acid for blood so clearly its a xenomorph and doesnt need any heat period.

The stupidest, yet somehow most reasonable conclusion.

Or if we take it in a meta sense, the real reason is that yes, the person who wrote the flavour text was a dingus.
I want to see an exothermic arctic-dwelling monster. THat seems like a cool little detail to help it feel alien. "The Xlyryx has the same body temperature of the Arctic winds with which it defends itself. "

TP you're thinking endothermic. Endothermic creatures have the same temperature as their surroundings, while exothermic creatures can sustain their own temperature.

Bad to the Bone
Sorcery (U)
Gain control of two target creatures until the end of the turn. Untap them. They gain Haste until the end of the turn.
On the day I was born
The nurses all gathered around,
And they gazed in wide wonder
At the joy they had found !
The head nurse spoke up
Said "leave this one alone !"
She could tell right away
That I was bad to the bone !
- George Thirogood, Bad to the Bone.

Nevermind, I'm the idiot.

My train of thought was "exothermic reaction therefore generates heat".

I think Bad to the Bone might have to be a rare. You should win when you cast it in limited.

EDIT: I guess I learned the correct term is ectothermic, not exothermic. Someone should update spellcheck and autocorrect.

I imagine Bad to the Bone as a red Overrun or Enlarge except it requires a little less preparation but doesn't cause card advantage (by forcing chump blocks.).
(Of course, Bad to the Bone is savage in sacrifice decks, but Overrun/Enlarge are just as savage in tokens/ramp.)
