All the decks are aggro decks in Zendikar.

Any other option is plain doing it wrong.

I typed up a whole thing explaining why sideboarding reactive cards is bad against aggro, particularly with this deck, but in the end decided to go with sarcasm because I didn't want to incidentally buy into the "discussion."

All right then, if you guys don't see the value in discussing picks, I don't see what's useful or even interesting about these drafts. I'm out, have fun with your 1-2 words posts.

The trample gray ogre or the white wind drake? Hm. I think I'll go Hawks here. Also, whoever said we shouldn't go allies should suck it.

Graypelt Hunter

In an aggro world, 3/3 trample is quite big enough, and Iona's Judgment seems too slow.

In an aggro world, are we even going to get to play a 4 drop when it matters?

I think the hawk is a little better given this deck.

This is what I'm looking at. I don't know if I want to play anything over 4. Obviously this is rough and I'd take some things out, but it's got a slamming start:

Scythe Tiger
Kor Skyfisher
Oran-Reif Survivalist
Kor Hookmaster
Kor Hookmaster
Kor Outfitter
Oran-Rief Recluse
Oran-Rief Recluse
Grazing Gladeheart
Kor Cartographer
Joraga Bard

Journey to Nowhere

Nimbus Wings
Windborn Charge
Quest for the Gemblades

Adventuring Gear
Spidersilk Net
Blazing Torch

Apex Hawk is pretty solid.

Also, weren't you the one saying we shouldn't take that first Oran Reif Survivalist rsntme? I'm too lazy to go back and look.

I picked the sell-sword pick 2 pack 1 bc I wanted to stay in-color with the nighthawk and didn't know how prevalent allies was, having never drafted this set. That being said, picking an ally over an ally doesn't mean I said no allies. I didn't dig beyond page 1 to see who hated on allies.

I just remember screaming about how Oran Reif Survivalist is one of the best cards in Zendikar draft and people not listening to me. Because it is. I'd play at least 5 if I could. Probably would set the line at 7 or 8

I would play terra stomper over the tiger, paying a land for something with two toughness and not pumpable looks like an horrible idea in an aggro set, even the looter we saw had 2 power...

Judgement, but it seems slow

EDIT Sorry... I even saw the arbor elf but just sort of forgot about it. It's certainly better in a fast format than 5CMC removal. I change my vote.

I think Elf is the pick here, if we're going to go above 4 on our curve, and it seems like we might.

Arbor Elf

Or the Chalice, but Elf is faster, and we're green.

Apprentice+Adventuring Gear seems bananas. I wish we had more equipment. I'll spec pick it here and prioritize equipment as it comes, though I'll admit the Pack looks like a decent card in every game state.

It's a tough call. We do kind of need some bears. I am going to venture a guess that equipment is more sought after than kite sail apprentices... So take the pack now and see what comes.

Gnarlid Pack

As Z said, good Equipment is good on anything. We only have two pieces so far, and it will be hard to get more. Superbear is good anytime. Not exicitng, but solid.

Gnarlid pack. We don't have enough equipment to justify taking something that could be a 1/1 over a bear.
