Deck Tech video of my Tournament Deck. My match vu Cucho should hopefully be played between Friday and the weekend. SD

Practice matches v HARD AI. I was lucky in game 1. Shows a good range of what the deck can achieve.

Glancing over the control decks in this tournament in particular, I like Auunj's innovation of Lightning Axe + Fiery Temper in the main deck.

That card is UNDER APPRECIATED.

Thanks for the kind words. Personally I think they are much better than Magma Spray and Fiery Impulse as those don't deal with some early problematic threats with 3/3+ toughness.

If I had to resubmit the deck I'd play +1 LA and +1 FT in place of 2 Comparative Analysis. The current setup should be better against control and midrange tho, so not a big loss.

And LA is pretty good late game as you can just pay 6 mana eot.

I can't agree enough, my drake haven standard deck uses four of each... I've built a duels deck that's as close as possible but it's definitely tier 2.0

Initiates, it is important that if a match is done after a 2-0 you play the 3 game for possible tie breakers

Probably best to be fair to have a tie-break if and when required. I doubt most participants will want to play on after going 2 and 0 and possibly going 3 and 0 to add insult to injury. SD

MagicMaster and I played our games today. I went 2-0 thanks to (unfortunate) mana short on MM's part, and a well timed Peacewalker Colossus (since he was wiping out possible vehicle pilots as fast as I could get them out).

I don't have gameplay recordings, just print screens of final board states of each game:

Game 1 - MagicMaster concede due to mana short.

Game 2 -

Fun playing with you MagicMaster, looking forward to Round 2!

Cucho and I completed our round 1 match.

Spoiler

I will post the video of the entire match once converted.

The first match starts at 27:10 for reference. Various issues getting started and in first game Cucho's counter hit lag so we agreed on a restart. Pity as I had good mana. Typical eh :D

Review is also a wonderful thing. In game 1 I dumped a Falls via response to trigger. Dumb I guess. Next turn I had a second. 2 lumbering Falls would have made a difference maybe. Live and learn although mana screw game 2 (my own fault not listening to my own deck tech advice) meant I could not apply this lesson

Game 2 was a very typical reason as to why a 2 land hand is never a keep. I lost count of the number of draws I had before hitting a third land! Was a 'walk in the park' for Cucho game 2.

Cucho's deck looks really tight, although I believe it might have huge problems with early aggro. Seems well armed for control mirrors and slower decks.

GG´s SD, its a shame we got match against on the first game after all that hard work it felt like start//finish

Spoiler

PS1: For future matches we advice that the control deck (if there is one) host the game.
PS2: If there were to be a tie for a seat on top 8, that tie would have to be settled with an extra game, so 2-0 should close the match on this round

Looking forward to more videos, and I would like congratulate Ne0n for broadcasting his match on Twitch!! I thought it cant be done.

Absolutely right!
I just hope to get to top 8 so I can tweak the deck for the specific match.

Looking at control in this match and over on the Xbox platform it's certainly a good choice. Just odd that it is not really dominant in standard.

There is a blue red control up there in standard but a lot of standard decks are going quickly, trying to go under control.... also... there is marvel for free wins.

Appreciate it Cucho, sorry for the dead space in chat last time!
Completely forgot all about it while I was getting my sh*t zapped or countered. : )

I'll try to keep an eye on the chat next time.
