Both "Waterwhelm"s are mine. I must've really liked the name.

Don't apologize. That's a seriously good eye for detail and you've been amazingly helpful.

It was meant as a bit of a joke. :)

So some days ago, I came across a list of all Magic cards from which I could easily extract the list of all card names (well, almost, I had to add the full names of split cards). I could already do that with the xml. Paring down the list to only the overlapping cad names was easy with a diff tool. The result? By my count, there are 325 cards that are shared between NGAC and WotC Magic. Of these, a few have deliberate text changes (one retroactively). There are a few cards where NGAC text and Oracle text don't quite match up (Deglamer, Feral Invocation, Krosan Tusker (creature type), and Ritual of Subdual).

And there are cards that share a name with a WotC card that aren't the same as that card, often due to new cards being released:

Border Patrol [NM2] vs Border Patrol
Boulder Salvo [ASC] vs Boulder Salvo
Censor [VRE] vs Censor
Contingency Plan [UND] vs Contingency Plan
Display of Dominance [CAT] vs Display of Dominance
Dwarven Berserker [SIT] vs Dwarven Berserker
Dwarven Miner [ARH] vs Dwarven Miner
Endbringer [B01] vs Endbringer
Exert Influence [RIS] vs Exert Influence
Feeding Grounds [BLI] vs the plane card Feeding Grounds
From the Ashes [WLI] vs From the Ashes
Identity Thief [VEL] vs Identity Thief
Moment of Silence [NGB] vs Moment of Silence
Noxious Vapors [WOM] vs Noxious Vapors
Open the Armory [RIS] vs Open the Armory
Owl Familiar [RIS] vs Owl Familiar
Primal Druid [BLI] vs Primal Druid
Protect [ENT] vs the split card half of Protect // Serve
Pulverize [ONE] vs Pulverize
Reap [SIT] vs Reap
Restrain [VRE] vs Restrain
Shimmer [VER] vs Shimmer
Singe [NGB] vs Singe
Skeleton Key [SIT] vs Skeleton Key
Snowblind [ARH] vs Snowblind
Spreading Flames [COS] vs Spreading Flames
Witch Hunt [WOM] vs Witch Hunt

Is the flavor xml at https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By9U9t ... FXZ00/view the current one (and will it remain the current one)?

Edit - Also, I'd like to take advantage of the new reflexive triggered abilities pioneered by Heart-Piercer Manticore to make a few oracle cards less ugly. They're functional changes, but I believe they'll read a lot better this way:

Oracular Denial
Oracle. When you do, counter target spell unless its controller pays 1 for each of your visions. (To oracle, look at the top card of your library. You may exile it as a vision.)
from currently
Choose target spell, oracle, then counter that spell unless its controller pays 1 for each of your visions. (To oracle, look at the top card of your library. You may exile it as a vision.)

Visionfire
Oracle. When you do, Visionfire deals X damage to target creature, where X is the number of your visions. (To oracle, look at the top card of your library. You may exile it as a vision.)
from currently
Choose target creature, then oracle. Visionfire deals X damage to that creature, where X is the number of your visions. (To oracle, look at the top card of your library. You may exile it as a vision.)

Visions of Victory
Oracle. When you do, target creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn, plus an additional +1/+1 until end of turn for each of your visions. (To oracle, look at the top card of your library. You may exile it as a vision.)
from currently
Choose target creature, then oracle. Until end of turn, that creature gets +1/+1, plus an additional +1/+1 for each of your visions. (To oracle, look at the top card of your library. You may exile it as a vision.)

Volatile Lavakite
Whenever Volatile Lavakite attacks, oracle. When you receive a vision this way, Volatile Lavakite deals damage equal to the converted mana cost of that vision to target creature defending player controls. (To oracle, look at the top card of your library. You may exile it as a vision.)
from currently
Whenever Volatile Lavakite attacks, choose target creature defending player controls, then oracle. If you received a vision, Volatile Lavakite deals damage to that creature equal to the converted mana cost of that vision. (To oracle, look at the top card of your library. You may exile it as a vision.)

Updated the cards.

Thanks!
There are two small errors in the flavor xml:

Redgrass Recruiter's watermark tag resides outside its card tag.

The cards Jack of the Lantern and Rusted Pitchfork have been smudged together (though each still displays the correct flavor text).

Who made the Neighborhood set? My suggestion would be to add a :t: cost to getting that gold token out.

Preferred Pronoun Set: He
So, I'm going to GP Vegas, and as I was preparing my decks, I pondered the most important irrelevant question a Magic player faces, what basic lands should I play? When I pondered what my favorite basic lands were, I came to the conclusion that my favorite land arts were an impossible option, because they are CKY's. This made me sad, but it did lead me to something I think is worth sharing, which is CKY basics on Magic Online.
Screenshots

This was a little tricky because I only had access to the framed art, while MTGO saves the original (scaled) art and adds the card boarders on top in program, but the differences seem pretty negligible to me, and now I can play with my favorite basics on MTGO, if not in paper. Thank you CKY!

That is insanely cool. I'm flattered and humbled that you like my art enough to use it for everything.

Updated with the June plugin.

They're by Riorvard, from the Bloodied Streets set, so any changes would be up to them.

Eh, to be honest, I would just make them ETB tapped. Conceptually, it was an attempt at working in the same space as depletion lands/Crystal Vein/Invasion saclands to work with the set's Gold token subtheme and considering that those cycles also have lands that ETB tapped, that might just be the safest way to do it.

Is that the change you want to make?

So you might have seen that I've made/am making planeswalker decks for the Five Worlds block. So the question becomes, should the unique deck cards (plus the tap dual) be added to NGAC, and how? My current inclination is to have them part of their respective set, but with the special rarity rather than their normal rarity.

That makes sense, and is consistent with how Wizards does planeswalker deck cards internally.

This also reminds me that I haven't updated the plugin for July. I'll get around to it, probably.

I petition that the (too late to actually be) July 1st update be named the "Canadian edition".
