If building them wouldn't be such a nightmare, I would love the contest to be "best fat stack"

All 100 card decks, What's left of Barneys reputation is ruined as he spends a week on ladder playing them

"Guise... I don't want to seem rude but ALL of these builds are very inconsistent "

Barney, given that you have played a lot my deck,(and that you are far better aggro player than me) how would you fell if we loose the tapped lands and midnight oil for 3 aether hubs?

Also what cards underperformed the most and which ones surpass your expectations on the Hellbent Madness?

mirrors are totally meaningless tho. I take both to the ladder, fairly, and compare the result. It's a flawed system for sure but it's the best I can do with 10 different decks cuz otherwise I'd have to playtest for a month.

DJ's deck losing to mill in the first round is hilarious and humiliating (for me as well, btw). I'm going to be playing Old Brutal for a long time and if it makes it as long as DJ's did, then we'll have a decent basis of comparison. Anyway, neither deck were my favourite two in the end anyway.

My votes were DJ's and Red Acuta's build. My analysis was looking at the list, critiquing the list in my head, and then eliminating the 5 that were clearly the worst. Then I tried to figure what decks are truly competitive at higher levels. This was also done in my head.

The process took about 15 minutes and is as close to a perfect system as there is.

This is the worst process possible and only proves 1 thing, how full of yourself you are.

regarding Fiery temper, Harvester, Push or cut.

Like Barney said, temper reach is what I prefer over push. Cost is one thing but 25 land deck can afford going slow to take a turn off and hard cast temper. I just want an instant speed flexible removal with reach. Double red isn't a concern. 4 discard outlets are icing on the cake. imo when the deck runs 23 or below lands and usually stops at 3-4 land drops, of course hard casting temper feels like very desperate move. For me, we are already attacking over the top. Opponent is forced to struggle with chump blocking, using all the removals etc. I would slow my game down, keep board pressure to a certain level, and hold some UD temper reach in hand or to answer emergency needs.

To me it's quite a different style than 23- land aggro, where you want to try every possibility to double spell at turn 3, you need that 1 drop or two drop removal in the form of push madness temper or cut to clear the way. Because if you don't do that, opponent starts to drop 4th 5th 6th land and game goes away.

About harvester... I wrote something in the comments when deck was submitted. The deck was tuned to punish any ladder deck that goes slow or stumbles on mana. If it was for tourney, harvesters go in right away and cruisers out (not hellions). Harvesters are very balanced, but it reduces spiciness... in the sense that, it's a 3 drop without creating 2 bodies (pia and thopter engineer), without beating hard (weldfast), without haste (hellion), and it even taps a creature next turn if harvester wants to attack...

I think vert is right. DJ's deck can beat me in mirror probably with a higher chance, because of those push, lightning and glorybringers. but vert didn't say which deck beats his control friends hard. When you don't have a target to push, when you need extra bodies or haste beaters while you have a harvester and caps at 3-4 lands, it can be an issue against control. It's not realistic to say which style is better but it's always interesting to understand the thoughts behind small deck building differences.

I just don't think rakdos is a strong shell for midrange and if your curve gets higher you start to lose ground to decks with green

I disagree Rackdos decks clean their path with removal and burn over green.
Rackdos decks have hard time only against W lifegain and first strikers.

Cucho, the version I'm playing has two Hubs already. I'm not sure about taplands cuz this deck uses every drop of mana available at all times.

Midnight oil has been useful only once or twice so far in 14 games but maybe that's normal. Does that card get along with Arkham Visitor? With so many discard outlets Fiery Temper has been huge for me. Bloodlust has been really fun surprise but you got to play it intelligently. If desperate I'll play it T2 but I much prefer using it to give something haste like Garrison or, often, Karl. Olivia has been great.

I'm thinking maybe Heir of Falkensomething might be the weakest card, I don't flip that card often cuz I sometimes have another discard outlet to use. And because of Adept, maybe Olivia's Dragoon would be better here

My results are sick with this deck so I'm not one to suggest any changes yet anyway. I love it

Thanks for the input your results have keep me very interested in this deck! Will give a thought on Heir of Falkensomething XD and midnight oil that indeed does not get along that well with Arkham visitor. Key of the city feels like a good swap for midnight.

I just had T3 Olivia T4 land + Garrison with haste +1/+1 and discarding a fiery temper to the blocker XD

FYI, Key doesn't always play well with Asylum Visitor either. If you played Key to the City first, it will always resolve first, giving you a card in hand before Asylum Visitor checks your hand size. I don't even play with the Vampire Wizard anymore. He's to slow for the Vamp/Burn version. You want to win before you hit hellbent honestly. Besides, Key to the City normally keeps you from hitting Hellbent and it's the best non-creature non-removal card in the deck.

The only good thing about Asylum Visitor was that you could play him during your opponents EoT or after a board wipe. Scrounger can do the same thing though, and he's not cast so he can't be countered.

I think we can swap The Harrensomething for Glint-Sleeve Siphoner - menace and bloodlust are best friends-, I often drop Bloodlust on T2 on a menace creature, when the opponent deals with it you can drop the second copy on a hasty threat.

This is the optimized version with extra draw engines.

Cucho, you think this version is better? I'll make the adjustments tomorrow

Without the heir of falkensomething, we still have enough discard outlets I guess?

Wanted to give a shout-out for Modulo's Raggros which i recently retired after a 14-2 record. It was a total blast to play.

So some of you know I’ve been playing down what I consider to be the best decks in Magic Duels for months now. Deleting each deck as soon as it loses two in a row.

Im happy to announce the winner of a deck that Never lost two in a row after more than 300 games. It’s so consistent, you won’t believe it.

The winner is WoodlandWanderer’s The Old Brutal Raw Power. A radkos vehicle, artifact, burn deck. It’s ferocious. I prefer it to DJ’s amazing Radkos vehicle deck which I played forever as well

The winning deck finishes with a record of 269-35 which includes some notable winstreaks of 13-0, 18-0, 11-0, 13-0, 13-0, 20-0, 10-0, 13-0 followed by 13-0 followed by 12-0, and then at the very end I got win streaks of 18-0 followed immediately by 25-0!

Absolutely brutal math, that’s the deck. Play the numbers and get the win. You only need two swamps and rarely need both. Don’t be shy about ditching the sky ship for quick win cards. Key to the City can be a great machine too. I think it’s saved me from mana flood games where I just drew a ton . This deck is fast and brutal and lots of cards

Congrats to woodland Wanderer who no longer frequents these parts unfortunately
