I like to try make/update the strongest possible mono green list with each expansion. I know a few others like to do the same, but I haven't seen anyone else post one yet, so I'll get the ball rolling..

I don't think we got much this time around but there are a few nice auto-includes; Prowling Serpopard and Rhonas the Indomitable.

My approach is that every creature enters as 3 or 4 power to trigger Elemental Bond and also activate Rhonas - Then also give a card draw from Mouth // Feed. So it's a pretty simple beatdown deck with a focus on keeping our hand fuelled.

Creatures (22):
2x Sylvan Advocate (Potential exception to the 3-4 power rule.. Could be better off as Deathcap Cultivator?)
4x Druid of the Cowl (You know the drill)
1x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
1x Rhonas the Indomitable
2x Tireless Tracker (Card draw.. Triggers Bond - and Rhonas after 1 pump)
2x Prowling Serpopard (Great stats for 3cmc, gives everything Gaea's f*ck-you-blue ability, triggers Bond/Rhonas/Feed)
2x Bristling Hydra (Protects itself, triggers Bond/Rhonas/Feed)
1x Verdurous Gearhulk
2x Conclave Naturalists (Here as an alternative to Rec Sage, as they trigger Bond/Rhonas/Feed. Can be cast from Rishkar's)
1x Ulvenwald Hydra (Ramps us to 7 to guarantee we can cast Gaea/Crusher, also fetches Passage for an evasion wincon).
2x Gaea's Revenge
2x Plated Crusher

Instant/Sorcery (12):
3x Primal Bellow
2x Mouth // Feed(3/3 for 3 mana is alright and triggers Bond. Feed for obvious card draw from almost every creature)
4x Explosive Vegetation (with Druids this should be all the ramp we need, as we're not going for anything huge like Ulamog)
1x Monstrous Onslaught (Sweeper, works with Rishkar's)
2x Rishkar's Expertise

Enchantments (2):
2x Elemental Bond (Card draw from everything except Druids)

Lands (24):
20x Forest
2x Rogue's Passage
2x Foundry of the Consuls

I'm aware it may be far from optimal. That's what we're here to nut out. So I'm open to constructive criticism.

I guess one argument will be (quite reasonably) that we'll never cast Bond on t3-4, as we want to be casting veggies.. Although we won't always get that ideal hand, and in those instances, taking an extra turn to set up isn't the end of the world here, imo.

I prefer mono-coloured decks. I've tried out your deck a few times against the AI, my two cent: It's slow, weak to aggro, planeswalkers, flyers and lack ways to gain life. I swapped a Primal Bellow for a Vines of the Recluse, a Plated Crusher for a Sandwurm Convergence and a Rishkar's Expertise for a Nissa's Renewal. Maybe Nissa's Revelation would be better than the latter.

Will do some testing.

If you start taking out Primal Bellow, you're kind of defeating the whole purpose of mono green.

You need Rhonas's Monument. I tried making a mono green monument deck before but it ended up being a eventually for a tempo and draw.

I did end up including those after seeing your Monument to Strength thread. I had overlooked the card completely.

Ended up abandoning this deck as it was too slow

I tend to agree with Vert on Primal Bellow. Just adding Prowling Serpopard to the previous mono green versions might be the best approach.

was the fastest and most consistent approach i got with the deck. I still use it from time to time but the deck has problems when faced with rakdos decks since it doesnt have a direct way to kill creatures

I did a Mono-Green version too.

Mono-Green is kind of boring though. Deck was ok, I kept the curve lower and it packed some punch, but is very susceptable to sweepers.

I would agree with you, if we talked about a fast, aggressive green deck. Werewolves are kind of ok as mono-green, but this one is just too slow.

I'd say it's actually better in the ramp versions as you're pumping out more Forests. You can swing with everything, and if they neglect to block something thinking it's no threat, you can pump it up to lethal.

You've got a point, though imo fat ramp creatures don't really need the extra oomph, they need help surviving to the late game. But I like Primal Bellow in my mono-green Elf deck.
