I feel that a lot has been added to blue this set. I also really like Glyph Keeper as a win condition. However, I have not found the right shell for a control yet. The big problem playing control this set are the embalm creatures. So far I am sticking to U/w control. But is there a better option? (with workable mana) U/B? Esper? Jeskai?

I don't think there's a definite answer to that question yet.

If you really hate Embalm, Jeskai has the most exile removal (Declaration, Magma Spray, Cast Out, Nahiri), but the manabase is not as easy as, say, Esper's manabase. Dimir has probably the smoothest mana, but it actually isn't that mich better than Esper and you lose a lot of quality spells. Azorius likely doesn't have enough early removal to be great right now.

Dimir has the best consistency, but lacks the specialist stuff Esper provides (enchantment/artifact hate in Unmaking and Cast Out, sacrifice for hexproof/lifegain in Blessed Alliance, token hate/exile with Dec in Stone). Azorius does fall flat due to lacking cheap removal options. Immolating Glare would have been nice.

I'll disagree with Modulo here and say Jeskai has better mana. Esper requires double of both Blue and Black early for Grasp/Counters, whilst Jeskai only requires double Blue. If you were thinking about all this regarding the tournaments however, Esper has the better sideboard options if you plan on making top 8. Cards like Essence Scatter, Scarab Feast and Fragmentize are smart bets against likely archetypes.

Due to having 2 more battle-lands instead of manlands, a comparable manabase in Jeskai is slower than in Esper or Grixis. The Shards can afford to go deep in 2 colours, the Wedge's manabase has too many awkward draws for that.

It's correct that Jeskai's cards are easier in the mana, but that's mainly thanks to rigoros cuts. If I applies sometimes similar to Esper, we would end up with the faster manabase at the possible cost of the manlands. Vert did sometimes similar in his latest list by cutting Grasp; I probably wouldn't gone even further.

I am going to be playing around with an Azorious build for a little while just to see if it can be viable vs RDW or low to the ground vehicle decks. Will report back when I have some time off work and have completed my testing. I want a viable 2 color deck that has less tapped mana.

I think cards like Gideon's Reproach and Aether Meltdown are underrated. Esper is great vs Azorious for adding anguished unmaking, Vents, Lilliana, Ob and all the cheap removal options. Black sweepers also ignore silly key words like indestructible (if the creatures are small enough). It may come down to preference.

Esper; it's the only deck with all the answers.

It's perfectly possible to have 18/18/16 blue/black/white sources, meaning as long as you don't run Gideon (or don't expect to cast him on curve if you do) you should be fine. You could even tweak your basics a little if you'd rather favour blue or black. It's by no means perfect but it gets the job done.

In my personal opinion, Izzet is the best control shell in a blind meta. You used to lack a direct answer to resolved planeswalkers outside of direct damage, but I find the addition of Commit to Memory to be a catch all answer to threats I can't deal with once resolved.

Obviously the Blue God is incredible in the shell. A 5/5 flying body with a mana sink for card advantage that's difficult to remove? Incredible.

Esper is the best as far as raw power and versatility is concerned.

Grixis, it only ever loses to mill but that deck has been quite rare with all the aggro there is and if any kind of targeted discard makes in the next sets it won't ever lose to anything, esper is good but I found white to be surprising lacking with those high cmc boardwipes/removal and while declaration is a great card the downside when playing control is great.
