The gold cap doesn't hit until the game when you reached 400 or more.

That means if you just play ranked matches, you'll get

13*30=390 for the first matches, and still haven't hit cap, then 30 for last match ending up at 420. If you make sure to play an easy ai match sometime before the last match you can get 425 gold.

That seems to me what happened to you.

On steam;

I'm earning gold past the cap.

I got no 200g message. I earned 420g and got the message. I left, came back and got the message when I logged in. I won 2 games and had 60g that I didn't have before.

No things are not normal, but I'm not complaining.

I'm on steam. I got the message about hitting gold cap after getting 200 gold, but could still earn gold. After hitting the 400 gold cap I can't earn anymore though. So it seems like not everyone got the same feature as Sixty. Guess Sixty's just favoured by Stainless .
