I do have some possible good news though: I think I found a deck for Bone Picker now. It needs a bit of work, but I think it will be a good fit. (We were talking about the card not really having a spot anywhere).

Oh well, tbh I didn't really need to hear you guys talk about how bad it is; I'll be trying to have fun with it anyways.

Think you could use a Johnny/Timmy on your podcast next time for cards like AP and Sandwurms Convergence. Would diversify your discussions by including folks who like those cards and are excited to build 2nd rate (not saying T2 2nd rate, but JFF style that could be 1/2 way decent) decks with them. Game isn't just for Spikes yo. Johnnys/Timmys aren't daft about the Spike cards you focus on, but appreciate a bit of spice too. If you're worried about the added length of podcast, just have them sit in a corner till Spikes are done talking about their stuff.

Yeah... (We just ran out of time) If you're truly a Johhny, you'll love this (it's probably not strong btw):

2 x Eldrazi Displacer
4 x Eyeless Watcher
2 x Anointed Procession

We have infinite mana and infinite attackers (courtesy of CGB)!

You can also include:

2 x Eldritch Evolution
3 x Birthing Hulk
4 x Benefaction of Rhonas
4 x Vessel of Nascency

for added combo ease, and add Drowner of Hope if you want to go blue.

There are lots of potential right then win conditions, for example Walking Ballista kills with infinite mana, but there are others like Pious Evangel (so long as it was already in play the turn before you go off), and of course any effect that happens when you sacrifice a creature (or just a creature dies) could be big in this deck. Bottom line, you'll have 100 attackers on the next turn in any case - so that's fun too. (Possible Delirium Subtheme, imo).

As for Convergence, I'm the Johhny in our little group and I tried to make it work (or I wouldn't have been so negative on the card), but I wasn't able to get to 8 mana fast enough with any deck that had a realistic chance of surviving long enough. I'm still trying to make it work though, and if I can make a deck that doesn't just get demolished on the ladder, I'll post it on Duels - soon as it's done. The reason I wanted to run it/try it is that it shuts down fliers and makes the ground game super strong (2 things green really badly wants). I was trying to make it work in a new-Nissa deck, which is probably a big part of the problem, because now that I think about it, the card screams Gruul - especially now that we have Heaven // Earth. I've actually been looking for a 7! (not 8) mana card that can shut down flying attackers, to go along with Ulvenwald Hydra, I just think that Convergence is a bit too slow.

All of that said, if you really want to play the card, try either gruul or temur (mostly for the new ramp cards and a couple other big effects from the new set), and probably run sorcery ramp rather than mana dorks - as I've already tried the mana dork route, and I'm pretty sure it's going to fail.

Niiice. I hadn't gotten around to thinking about what you could do with it and eldrazi/scions yet. Have been more focused on cards/decks I've been playing in more recent seasons. That sounds fun tho.

How do you goldfish with cards we don't have yet? Is there an app/site where you can shuffle imported lists from? Back in the day I'd occasionally make decks on index cards to goldfish with stuff I didn't have yet (would use proxies in reg decks if only missing a few cards, but I can't physically touch my Duels collection for that) - that's time consuming work tho, and I'm not interested in doing that these days. Ive heard other Duels players talk about testing cards we don't have yet, so I'm curious how that gets done.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I use an app called Decked Builder (aka Decked HD). I highly recommend it, it's pretty cheap, and I've used it for years - for both duels, and when I've helped paper players build decks for tournament play. It's nice, as it has a collection feature, which I populate with the cards we have, so that I can keyword search, etc...

As for the combo, I think I'll actually try to build around it, tbh. I haven't yet, and I have higher priorities, but I think it will be fun. And for the record, this deck might have legs even when the combo doesn't happen thanks to In Oketra's Name.

I can say I aggree with most of what was said and the opinions I heard she some new Light on one or two cards. But personally, I like to run most cards before writing them off as bad or deciding on whether they are really good. Theory can be a bit hit and miss sometimes...

TIMH, you can use cockatrice to goldfish, its freeware and you can even use it to play with others too. I don't really have the patience for it though.

Let me know if I missed anything important. This feels like a seriously good Aggro season, prior to actually getting my hands on the cards. I feel like Aggro got a ridiculous boost, especially in the lower midrange style decks.
