Final in best of series ..... what is the best creature spell in Magic Duels.

So best creature spell card from any of the Magic Duels sets to date (ORI/B4Z/OGW/SOI/EMN/KLD/AER).

This will probably be the most difficult category to decide on. There were some early meta defining creatures and some incredible creatures in the Legendary sub category.

After the results of this last category I will summarise the results with top 3 as a summary of sorts of the participants view of what makes Magic Duels worth waiting for the new sets, all the usual problems aside.

Do vehicles count as creatures? If no, I vote for Elder Deep-Fiend.

Vehicles were treated as a subclass of Artifact in a previous post in the series.

Breaking down by CMC is a decent idea; I'll treat everything 6+ CMC as lategame threat, and will introduce the category X for flex-drops.

1: Neonate isn't bad, but often is more of a roleplayer than a 1-drop that carries the deck. These are Toolcraft Exemplar, Kytheon, Cryptbreaker, Bomat Courier (to name a few). I'll go with Toolcraft Exemplar because 3 power on a 1-drop is broken.

2: Scrapheap Scrounger. Pretty clear winner despite this category being widely contested (Winding Constrictor, Sylvan Advocate, Duskwatch Recruiter, JVP and Veteran Motorist are only a few of the contenders for this slot).

3: Tireless Tracker is the winner here; closest contestors are Thalia and Reflector Mage.

4: Here's where deck context comes in handy. Kalitas, Bristling Hydra, Gisela, Akoum Firebird and Thought-Knot Seer and others are all amazing cards given the deck. I'll go with my personal favourite of them: Bristling Hydra.

5: Close call between Archangel Avacyn, Disciple of the Ring, Reality Smasher and Verdurous Gearhulk. In the end, protecting the team at instant speed while being a big, vigilant flier earns Archangel Avacyn the award.

6+: I'll generally play very few creatures in this slot; most notably Woodland Bellower, Torrential Gearhulk and Ramp targets like Ulamog. Overall, Torrential Gearhulk wins big, though.

X: Walking Ballista. Really flexible, ticks all the boxes you want it to.

For 1 drop, I'd go Bomar Courier.

Look I don't mean to be rude or question anyone's judgment but you guys seem to forget that Bellows Lizard is in the game

0 mana: walking ballista for the revolt trigger.
1 mana: shambling vent
2 mana: Smuggler copter
3 mana:nissa, vastwood seer or reflector mage.
4 mana: tireless tracker
5 mana: avacyn
6 mana blue gearhulk( honorable mention for profane prince)
7 mana: any rare eldrazi emerging from a token.
8+ mana:walking ballista with or without help from that cards that reduces an artifact cost.( honorable mention for hardcasting the previously mentioned eldrazi at 8).

Agree decent idea given the wide pool and utility of the creatures for various game stages and meta, but still rank them for your top 3 at least so you still end up with 1(assuming it's not Bellows Lizard of course).
