Every post I have seen pertaining to the amount of coins saved is 50k+

I don't have enough for this set. I blame it on too much brewing and 2HG vs non random opponents, other games I like to play, and life keeping me busy in general to not being able to no life grind for coins. IT'S NOT MY FAULT!

I'm sitting around 7k, I may have to drop actual $$ if I want to have a deck ready for the fight club.

Am I the only one?

I only have 7000 coins, I dropped Duels for a bit after AER hit for some other games. I probably should grind vs AI instead of doing versus with a RDW or something.

I have a camping trip this weekend and I'm working full time so I don't see it happening for me. At least I'm not alone, thanks BBB.

I travel and am gone every other month. But I only play Duels and Halo 5 so I still have 50K coins.

Guess I added nothing to this conversation... meh... it's because I'm on travel and can't play Duels so I have to get my fix by reading about Duels.

For ease of calculations, you get 90 days per season to get 12k gold for all packs typically. That's 133.333... gold per day. Should be doable with the daily quests and weekly community quest. Just systematically rotate out the 60 gold daily quests and play the minimum to complete these quests and you should be fine.

I'm up to 11.5k gold now with 6 days to go for the last 500 somewhat gold, so I'm ready for the cards, but not for any additional sleeves or personas or w/e

I don't have much disposable income. I haven't bought a game since Battlefront (not the new one). I spent maybe $20 of my own cash on Duels. But maybe another $40 in gift cards. Nothing since OGW iirc.

I just play for an hourish most days (tho not every), clear challenges and get that bonus gold for first win OTD. That's been enough that I've been able to get every set on release since Innestrad.

I am on 15K and have been a free player on iOS from the start. I have however spent some coin on steam but in reality keeping 2 going is time tough. iOS does not have the players in NGA to support full tournaments as per XBOXONE and Steam which is a pity. It is of course the only mobile platform for Magic Duels and for me that makes it easier to play and pick up whenever including when travelling.

Once you get to a decent deck you can earn well enough with farming, ladder versus and quests. I play all modes including 2HG when available. Quests can really help when available.

I still play steam occasionally but have stopped dropping money on it. It can still be cool to play, get the coins and see what new cards are available and in general I focus on the new sets.

With 7K you would get a good start and play should get you to the rest. See what you net in the first lot of packs and build accordingly and you should fill out your collection before you know it with some good, regular solid play. Good luck!

You're better off than me. I only have 3k gold. None of AER unlocked and only half of both sets from the Zendikar block. I'll probably only have 6-7K gold when AKH drops but that's what I'll buy first and get the rest whenever I have the extra gold and they're on sale.

So many other good games to play. And life. PS+ monthly free games keep me busy but I also just got Resident Evil 7 (which is an amazing game with only 3 hours into it).

I think to sit around 6000 gold ... you are not alone

But with Story Mode, few Quests and PvP matches it would be easy to unlock the full AKH in no time!!!

I have 410 gold and are still missing all cosmetics, 11 packs from origins and 18 from kaladesh.
Had to skip playing vehicles because I had only half of kaladesh before the sale.

I was where you are now at the beginning of KAL. This will be the last set you likely have to catch up on. I think I went a little too hard on buying cosmetics this season. I would be sitting at 11k if not for all the sleeves, avatars and full art lands I bought.

I have not paid any real life money for Duels, so I understand the frustration. Currently, I've worked myself up to a very respectable level of completeness and have a whole 60 gold left in my bank to spend. (No cosmetics)

What changed the whole thing for me, though, was finding the right deck(s). I was not making any real progress in versus, and barely making the rate of coin I wanted in solo. Then, I found the mono-black beatdown deck someone had posted here, made a couple tweaks, and then presto, made it up to level 36 this season. Commensurate with those wins, the coins. It made my pretend budget manageable, and also helped beat the despair I was beginning to feel when playing this game.

Find the right deck, work on it. It will change your win rate, make the game more fun, and help you earn credits faster.

I'm on 3k now, I guess I was kind of like Bounce.

I have like 16,400 coin right now. Duels is actually not the main game I play otherwise I would have way more than that. I have buddy who i play mostly 2HG with and we have a deck that wins on turn 4 or 5 most of the time so we get gold pretty quick, it helps that you get 30 coin per 2hg match too.
