Why were ppl complaining about lack of fast lands when we still have check lands?

I opened one of those foil mythic full art fetches from the last pre-release I went to. That was during the last eldrazi set.... ****, that's the last time I played paper magic.

I didn't know that it would be such a big deal, I just threw it in my pile of cards I was organizing for the sealed tourny. Some kid at the other end of the room jumps out of his seat and screams about some card he got, I ask what the big deal is and the kid sitting next to me explains. I then say, Yeah, I got one to. The kid across the table grabs it out of my hand!

I'm gonna pause in the story to let that sink in.



If I hadn't been high, and my reactions slowed (thank god I was) I probably would have hit him with a right cross. Instead, he took a second and realized how uncouth that was and apologized. I let him take a pic of it to post to facebook, but me and the guy next to me made a lot of jokes at his expense about fake flossing on social media.

Yes. That's why I verbally abused him instead of physically abused him. The scars last longer and I have less chance of being kicked out of the store or going to jail.

Yeah Chiang just comes and goes, brags about being an expert in paper magic and then asks loads of questions about Duels as he gets confused by the cards in the game.

Yah but where would we be without the uber trolls that have come and gone here and on the mothership? It's added a nice smidgen of the absurd that life needs now and again. I'll never forget the chaotic fight Splattercat and I had with that one dude. Funny I can't remember the trolls handle. We both ended up with multiple temporary bans out of that one.
I'm kind of sorry I have missed out on most of the past two years here when it comes to that.
