Rhonas looks obviously the strongest card to me. It hits quite hard, and with Deathtouch, it's guaranteed to take something down every attack. And it's the easiest to turn on.

Hazoret is second best and should be a good top-end for aggressive red decks.

The other three are all pretty meh. I'd say Oketra's the best of the three, but turning him on is hard. I suppose you could be a go-wide white deck, but would a go-wide white deck want to play a card 4-mana do-nothing card if the opponent has a sweeper? Gideon is just better in every way. Bontu might be able to enable revolt synergies but even sacrificing tokens is a cost, and its 4 power is the weakest of the lot. Kefnet is probably the worst card. It's unlikely to turn on, and the cost of activating him every turn is harsh. Conceivably useful in a pure control deck, but only barely, because even pure control decks have to use their mana and can't invest 4 mana into drawing a card every turn - if they can it's a win-more situation.

So Rhonas > Hazoret > Oketra > Bontu > Kefnet.

3 (or 4) mana indestructible high-power level pilots. Vehicles were already awesome, but now...
Mono green stompers with some flying vehicles seems good

Hazoret and Bontu teaming up in a Madness/Haunted Dead/Call the Bloodlines deck.
Rhonas and Kefnet teaming up in a Tireless Tracker/Rishkar's Expertise (plays Kefnet for free)/Pull from tomorrow (if we're getting that) deck.
Oketra and Bontu in a Hidden Stockpile/token deck.

Probably a lot more fun dual- or tri-God decks to think of.

I also wonder if Oketra is 4 mana 'cause of Sram's expertise...

Changed my mind. Red God is the worst because she has Indestructible first and then Haste 2nd instead of the other way around like the others.

Haste isn't really a keyword.

Gideon AoZ isn't losing his spot in WX tokens, and we can only run 1 so there's room for W god in the 4 spot. Rather have W god played before a sweeper than basically any other creature in a token deck - survives every sweeper and starts rebuilding your board. Keeps you in the game if it happens while in top deck mode, when otherwise you'd prob be thinking about scooping.

Fair point, so Oketra might see play simply because we can only run one Gideon, but that would mean Oketra is not a format-defining card - only a good one.

In W/X tokens I also have further doubts about Oketra. There are other cards that survive sweepers, vehicles being the most important. We have lots of good vehicles - Heart of Kiran, Copter, Aethersphere Harvester, Skysovereign, Fleetwheel Cruiser. Given that most decks already aren't running all of them for the obvious reason that they need creatures too, how much play can we actually expect Oketra to see? He does have some pros: vehicles are dead if you don't have something to crew with, but Oketra is not. But a single creature can turn on a vehicle, while Oketra takes three cards (or Sram's Expertise I suppose). Other problems: the big white buff card, Always Watching, does not work with tokens and Oketra generates them. Neither does Oketra trigger Thalia's Lieutenant.

I won't say Oketra is unviable, but I'd be surprised if he becomes a core white card. He might not even compete successfully with cards like Selfless Spirit and Thalia, Heretic Cathar.

Oketra crews every vehicle that sees a lot of play and is an indestructible pilot. Vehicles is one deck I might consider her in other than token go-wide. But yeah, def not format defining. I'll agrue her perceived value in token decks until playing with her proves me wrong, but I won't argue beyond that. I dont see any of the gods as format defining except maybe the green god. Think that one could see a lot of play in a lot of decks. 5/5 indestructible Gideon is a pain and green god packs deathtouch on top.

Okay, all mechanical discussions aside, this:

clearly says "M Hazoret the Pervert".

I can't wait to drop a normal Hazoret the Fervert in paper magic when I already have this guy out and he'll say, "hey, you can't have both of those!" and I'll say, "ah ah ah! this clearly sez M Hazoret the Pervert. Different card, bro."

It's also a "Legendary Creature - Gobi".

This thread reminds me of the Best Gearhulk Poll thread from their spoiler season. Remember there were people who voted and argued that :w: Gearhulk was the best? Man, I'd laugh at them now, except I once argued with Fel on his set review thread that Stensia Banquet wasn't total 100% garbage and some spicey vamp deck might be able to make use of it.

Still tho, :w: Gearhulk, lol. So which god will be our :w: gearhulk?

My money is on :u:, he is probably the most difficult to consistently activate and is all around slow as hell.

If we are talking cards they get hyped but probably won't do anything, probably between :w: and :b: neither of them are terrible, but neither of them are particularly good either.

W Gearhulk had fringe hype. Most people correctly identified his 'opp chooses' clause as garbage. So I'd say whichever god nobody plays rather than whichever god doesn't live up to hype.

I think I've only seen W Gearhulk once on the ladder. I was like 'Oh ****, opps casting a 5 mana spell, what bomb am I going to have to deal with?!?! Oh, W Gearhulk, lol. Thanks, sucker!'

By that standard, I'm guessing red will be the best, with all the others being bad, as red is the only one that actually can do something the turn it comes into play, without a huge mana requirement. And right now, I'm thinking exile effects might be a thing next season.

Happens every preview season with everyone. Remember when people tried to argue against Walking Ballista?

There's still people that think Red Hulk is good, though. So there's hope for all the Gods.

Hey, I argued Ballista wasn't as high as you ranked it, and I'm happy with my position still (tho I never said it was bad, so if you weren't taking a playful jab at me, carry on). I also like the red gearhulk and I haven't disliked it whenever I've had it in a deck - I'd put it #4 on power rankings now, but it's not anywhere in the same ballpark as :w: hulk and its prob #2 for me in terms of decks I've played it in (so much fun).

I'll admit when I'm straight wrong about something, but red Gearhulk is pretty good and ballista doesn't belong in the same group as Lili and Skyship. (I know you don't rank cards on a pure power level scale, but it still seems wrong to put Ballista alongside Lili and Skyship).

Red will by far see the most play in the widest variety of decks.

Green will show up here and there in a few decks that can support it.

Black and White will get tested and likely replaced in their respective decks.

Blue probably won't even be messed with outside of the most niche decks, where it probably still isn't worth running.

Heh, that was fun too. I'll admit that initially I didn't consider her as insane as she ended up being, but boy, some people around here went nuts raging about her.
