I just played a few times against the AI with a new deck I'm fiddling with and I got a decent combo at the end. It killed off my opponent and I didn't get to see how much damage it would have done.

On the field, pertinent to the effect at hand, I had

2x Tireless Tracker
2x Erdwal Illuminator
3x Reckless Fireweaver

I played a land (Evolving Wilds) and beat my opponent who had 13 life, I think.

How much damage did this do, just by playing 1 land?

12. Evolving Wilds in that Setup gives you 4 clues (one from each Tracker, one from each Illuminator), with three Fireweavers on board this results in 12 triggers.
Playing and cracking Wilds would results in 18 (two more clues from the Tracker)

EDIT: I can't read - had to correct a mistake.

@below: How the heck do you generate 12 clues? Illuminators Investigate once per turn at best...

Wouldn't it be 15 damage?

Land 1 comes down.
TT1 activates, generates 1 clue.
EI1 activates, investigates again.
EI2 activates, investigates again.
TT 2 activates, clue #4.

Okay, yeah I get that. I just had to write it down.

Still, not a bad setup. Also in play were Mina and Denn, Wildborn and two Ghirapur Orrery. Just itching for Omnath, Locus of Rage to come out and play.

You have 2 TT's

Land 1 comes in:

TT1 activates: 1 clue
EI1 activates: 2 clue's
EI2 activates: 3 clue's
TT2 activates: 4 clue's
EI1 activates: 5 clue's
EI2 activates: 6 clue's
x 3 RF = 18 Dam
Sac Land, repeat
= 36 Dam

Ok I just read the EI function again

Anyhow the combo got my attention I like stuff like that, (some1 remind the Pebbles deck?)

Evolving wild; 2 x clues from the 2 trackers; 2 x clues from the illuminators (first investigate for the turn), 3 x 4 damage from the fireweavers (12 dmg)
Crack wilds, 2 x clues tracker, 0 from illuminator (second investigation); 3 x 2 damage from the fireweavers (6 dmg)
Total 18
Opp at -5. That's my calc anyway

Yeah, the idea in my head was trying to figure out how to do the most damage just from putting down lands. Combined with Mina and Denn and the orreries, I can put out 4 lands per turn, sorceries notwithstanding. With the above combo of creatures, how much damage would that do?

4 lands triggers trackers 8 times, and the illuminators 2 for 30 total damage. Add another 6 damage for each one of those lands that is Evolving Wilds. Pretty much, 12 damage on first land, 6 damage for each additional

This basically. EI's would trigger off the first clue generated and then the 2nd tracker would produce its clue (no EI trigger). Then crack for 2 more clues and no EI triggers. 6 clues in total for 18 DMG.
