Only 30 moar minutes until polls close!! I really hope Aggro-facts takes it. I think it was the best one.

Daring Designs not having any votes is hilarious. I really hope it's Maggit's deck. That deck was great.

I really want to know who built those two decks as well as Arti-fiction. They were leaps and bounds above the rest.

I forgot that we're going to see who the deckbuilders are soon! Can't wait. I want to publically shame the builders of Improvise Control and The Daily Grind. Those were AWFUL.

Fwiw, I almost enjoyed the experience of the anonymous version more, but it's so hard to avoid giving people input of how to play the deck, and it's so obvious that there was a disconnect there... more on this topic after we've all been unmasked.

Proposed solution: Giocher... next time would you mind letting the builders comment through you. I.e.: I send you what I want said, and they you post it so the builder isn't obvious...

I'm looking forward to the next theme. Soooo tired of Dimir!

I think if we get another high turnout (>8 decks) then maybe we should have some sort of 2-round vote. It seems like a lot of people opted to not vote because they didn't want to have to test all 10 lists. If we had a preliminary to narrow it down to just 4 decks then maybe we'd get a bigger turnout.

If we did go multi vote then I would recommend starting the next round as soon as the current round's primary vote closes (start the next brewing period during the finalist vote) just to keep things moving.

YAY Aggro-facts took it! A quick last vote for Colossus Smash made it very close.

i think the next contest will show that this thread will be MUCH more alive with all the builders talking to each other and to the players and pilots. I'm sure anonymous is a mistake. Just make the poll the deck titles so lazy people can't just vote for people they like. But indicate in the first post who built what.

Anyway, we'll try it next time with revealed deck builders and see if its better. Joker tell us who's who!

the voting is interesting. 9 people voted for two decks, and 2 people voted for 1 deck (I was one of them)

It seems a good solution, i could also ask to deckbuilders to send me a description along with the list, to explain how to use their decklist. Maybe who has less property of language could be unmasked. But yeah i could also post the answers sent me by PM.

The poll ended and the winner is Aggro-Facts built by Modulo :party::party::party:
Congratz to him and to every people that joined this round. We have seen some interesting build, even though not really competitive, but the last weeks of a particular season it's better to explore the jank, maybe we could start Amonkhet with a (possible) tier 1 deck. Also here's the deckbuilders revealed:

Arti-stuff -> callmemaggit
Aggro-facts -> Modulo
Daring Designs -> DJ0045
The Daily Grind -> Magister-Ludorum
The whirl of whirlers whirling -> Sl33pHumper
Industrial Revolution -> Felbatista
Colossus Smash -> Giocher
The grid -> Haven_pt
Improvise Control -> InfamousGemini
Arti-fiction -> TheFlakyMage

The next theme is... Rakdos Artifacts! No i'm kidding, i suppose we won't see artifacts for a long time :P
About next round, i suppose we can go back to public decklists, since the only reason for anonymous was to shame people without knowing if they built such deck. Another possibility is to give another chance to anonymous decklists and use DJ's suggestion here viewtopic.php?p=546392#p546392. Just comment below what you prefer, but i'm fine returning to public decklists.
About next theme, as i said i have a couple ideas, one of them maybe is better to save after Amonkhet, the other one is a bit extreme and nothing you brewed till now (or maybe not), so you have to start from the beginning. But give me more ideas, just comment below with your suggestions and if you want that round 4 starts close to this one. Next round could be around your idea ;) I also thought about a weekly poll as Legenvd does, but i wanna keep the possible themes secret until they are announced.

My horrible deck got 2 votes?!?
Incredible... But thanks anyway... :)

How about mono for next theme? With possible colorless splash?

Next theme should definitely be mono colored theme with the color of your choice.

Nighthawk already has an advantage. Image

I gave it one for delivering the funnest game of the challenge. Coming back from 1 life and reducing a R40 tryhard to a R39 cryhard with that jank was priceless. Maggit got my other vote because his deck tied with Colossus Smash for most effective and I thought his was the more versatile of the two.

I'm ok with mono, but I'm really curious about Joker's "extreme" idea. Can't resist me a good extreme mystery challenge.

Oh, and I def vote for next round starting sooner than later. We had a long testing period for the last one and I'm itchy to do some more brewing.

Also, grats, Modulo!

no one ever expects the spanish inquisition!

Congrats to Modulo!! Awesome deck bro.

Congrats to DJ and FlakyMage for really good builds too!

and of course congrats to Magister and Gem for building total trash garbage.

public decklists next time please!

I think Modulo is quickly becoming my builder of choice. I seem to do really really well with his builds. They fit my style beautifully. Maybe I can buy him dinner sometime...

Thanks to everyone for the congrats, and thanks to Giocher for leading the contest!
The contest was incredibly close; I'm a little surprised I won in the end despite getting rather mixed reviews.

Voting for public deckbuilders next time as well, as that allows to discuss/answer gameplay questions more freely.

As for the next theme, I'd be okay with monocolour even though I don't think monocolour is all that janky (Heck, mono-blue fliers is having an amazing run in the showdown).
However, Giocher's "mystery" challenge intrigued me a bit as well.

Wow i'm creating big expectations :P
I can only say that could be a very spicy idea or a very bad one, depending on the consensus. But forget tier 2 decks...

It's gonna be 'build around razorfoot griffin', isn't it?

First things first: Congratulations to Modulo for winning!

Second: Thanks to whoever felt my concoction was worth a vote. I appreciate it.

Third: If Razorfoot Griffin might show up, I am predicting the next challenge to be D-cards.

And last, but certainly not least: a heartfelt "Up yours, too!" to Barney for being incapable of winning even a single match with a build surely beyond his capabilities! ;)

More like first strike / double strike. Fliers would be too easy, because you could just make a Spirit/angel deck.

hahaha, that was fun...now I have to make the aftercontest thread :P

Btw, for me, that I tend to do the testing in 2-3 marathon session in the first week, the sooner we know next theme, the better
