*woof* Legendary Creature - Hound (M) Devour 1 (As this enters the battlefield, you may sacrifice any number of creatures. This creature enters the battlefield with that many +1/+1 counters on it.) When *woof* enters the battlefield, investigate X times, where X is its power. 1/1
?1 | [Legendary Creature - Human Pirate] (R) : You may cast your next non-creature spell this turn as though it had improvise. : Put a [REDACTED] counter on target wastes; as long as it has a [REDACTED] counter on it, it has ": Add to your mana pool." 1/3
hint 1
The pirate thing is technically true... but not how most people would probably think of this character. It was a throwaway gag in the source material.
hint 2
The counter type is "potato"
?2 | [Legendary Creature - Human Adviser] (R) , put a study counter on ~: Search your library for a card whose name starts with a letter whose place in the alphabet is less than or equal to the number of study counters on ~ and exile it. You may play that card this turn. Then, shuffle your library. 1/1
hint 1
There were probably a few other options for designing this card, including a mono-green version, and a mono-white version
hint 2
Based on a real person
?3 | [Legendary Enchantment Creature - God] (M) Indestructible As long as your devotion to generic is more than 6, ~ isn't a creature. (Each generic mana symbol in casting costs of permanents you control adds 1 to your devotion to generic, regardless of value) : Put a faith counter on target creature with no generic mana in its casting cost. It becomes a cleric in addition to its other types, and gains ": regenerate target creature". 4/4
hint
My original thought was to base the creature/non-creature thing on number of artifacts, but that would both be too easy to meet, and not in-keeping with how the other gods work

I'd have said Scooby-Doo, but I don't think the snacks are alive... so can't be Scooby.

chinkeeyong's card, big hint if you didn't figure it out
Shouldn't this have started as a vehicle before it transforms?
Here's a new one!
Accredited Mystic | Planeswalker - Peculiar : Draw a card. Until your next turn, any source that would deal damage to Accredited Mystic deals 1 damage instead. : Exile target creature until Accredited Mystic leaves the battlefield, or return target creature from exile to the battlefield under its owner's control. : Restart the game. After X number of turns, copy this ability. X cannot be less than or equal to seven. (X remains the same value as when first used)

Spoiler:
It could have started on either side. I guess I just associate him more with his warrior form.
Here's a card based on a famous film character.
???
Creature - Horror (R) 4/4
Emerge (You may cast this spell by sacrificing a creature and paying the emerge cost reduced by that creature's converted mana cost.) When ~ enters the battlefield, you may destroy target artifact or creature. Then you may return ~ to its owner's hand. When ~ is dealt damage by a red source, sacrifice ~.
I made a bunch of (high?) school students. I'll be impressed if you correctly guess more than 1. They're not very good card designs, but I guess it was an interesting exercise. Maybe I'll give them flavor text if I get bored one day.
Mystery Man 1 Legendary Creature — Human Vigilance, Haste : ~ gets +5/+5 until end of turn. Put a -1/-1 counter on it. 2/3
Mystery Man 2 Legendary Creature — Human : If target creature would die this turn, exile it instead. , : Put a creature card exiled by ~ onto the battlefield under your control. If it would leave the battlefield, exile it instead. 1/3
Mystery Man 3 Legendary Creature — Human : Attach target creature you control to ~ as an artifact Equipment. For as long as its equipped to ~, it's an artifact Equipment, and ~ gets +X/+Y and gains all of its abilities. X is that creature's base power and Y is it's toughness. 1/1
Mystery Man 4 Legendary Creature — Human At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player sacrifices another creature. When there are no other creatures, sacrifice ~ and restart the game. 0/1
Mystery Man 5 Legendary Creature — Human : Remove another object or one of its characteristics from the game You can't win the game and your opponents can't lose the game. 0/0

Shu Ouma from Guilty Crown? Not 100% on this but he's the only high school kid I can think of who can get Equipment out of people.

Spoiler
I'm guessing this is a character from one of those high school 'death games.' There are a few of those, but my best guess is the villain from the first Danganronpa,
