The only time I saw that card do work was on the ladder, vs a rank 40 who had some crazy, story driven, thematic Grixis control deck.. where he got Tezzeret out, and lololPlanar Bridge.. then used Tezzy's +1 to ramp into activating the bridge.. which he used to tutor wincons (Ulamog, Chandra Flamecaller). Every other time I've played it or played against it, I thought it was liquid excrement. Is it worse than Kiora though? I dunno..

format on the OP and can see why you want to have one big megathread for the contest with separate threads for the polling because it lets you unify the winner lists like that.

However, I would like to respectfully suggest that you also add a Rules (in spoilers) section for each round (or at least for the current round) in the OP just so that people can quickly reference them. The bigger the thread gets, the harder it will be to find the current rules in it - especially for latecomers. Something like:

Damn, I was having a nice run on the ladder with my build, 5-0 around rank 30...and then hitted the Sufflerwall: one lander (mulligan) - one lander (mulligan) - 4 lander with one 4 CC card and the higest cost card of my build, on the draw...followed by drawing land 5 times in a row...at the 5th land, I ragequited (I was basically dead anyways, of course)

I hate when it does that...more so because I can see it coming: if I have a zero/one lander, I know already the possibilities of mulliganing into a 0-1 or a 5-6 lander are around 1/2...my confirmation bias is out of the charts of lately...

Yeah, I just had a pretty bad run. I took the "funner" of my builds on the ladder. It faired poorly. After losing 4 in a row with it, I tried to play one of my better decks, just to remember what winning feels like. A mulligan and 6 turns later, I'm mana screwed at 3 lands with 2 Trackers and a 1/2 deathtouch on the table vs Saheeli, little Nissa, Tamiyo with 6 loyalty, a plant token, a Pilgrim's Eye, and 6 lands. Decided it was time for a break.

I'm starting to think I'm gonna have to go the boring route if I want to have anything playable for this challenge.

What I'm seeing around lvl 30 is a lot of PWs...pity that I already submited the build anyways it isn't the worst for PWs, at least

The brew I'm doing is pretty wacky but fun so far. I just have to figure out how far I can push the rules and my mana base. Taking it to the ladder will come after I figure that out.

A hint to those of you who use Magic Duels Helper: you may want to sign out before constructing contest decks to preserve your anonymity.

You can change your decklist before the deadline, i will consider only the last one submitted.

There is an option to make your deck private, just tick the respective box.

An update: 4 decklists submitted till now and 2 upcoming. There are nice ideas, even if in some of those decklist the core idea is in the splash color, which is not very good since there are only 4 slots max and i thought about it as "ok i finished the dimir deck, which 2-3 cards could make it a lil better?".
Anyway this is the first time that there is a splash, so next time i will consider this. Any kind of decklist is accepted if the requirements are ok, i'm also considering a 5th card for the splash but i will decide tomorrow or the day after. If you want you can send me your decklist having 4 splash cards and below the swap if the 5th card is allowed, to not send it twice in case i decide to allow it.

Ok, got clobbered on the ladder. Went 0-4.
Even the game I should have won, opponent got all 3 Fatal Pushes that saved his neck.
Back to the drawing board...

Try playing it again tomorrow or later tonight. Sometimes you just hit a wall of bad luck, bad matchups, bad karma, w/e. If you have the same outcome in 2 consecutive sessions then, yah, time to try something else.

My deck that had such a rough time last night just went 3.1-0 today, vs an assortment of decks. I still think it's a bit weak, but I might roll with it anyway cuz its hella fun (and hard) to play.

3.1-0? What's a tenth of a win? Turn 1 concede?

4C walkers getting stuck at 3 lands until the turn before I killed him.

U think he kept a two or three lander?
