Gem, how does the waiting area work? I just go when I'm available when I get back regardless who's on the list (obviously I shouldn't go ahead of Unbeatable or Holy). Waiting area is kind of a list that can challenge the king at anytime cuz they missed their shot when they were on the list proper?
Basically Barn my understanding of the waiting area (because I am a frequent user of it
) is that it's used for people who have made it to the top of the list but due to scheduling conflicts are unable to complete their match vs the king within the 3 day time period. Let's dissect this with a comprehensive list shall we?
1. Ask Gem to be put on the challenger's list and start at the bottom.
2. Make your way to the top of the list.
3. If once you've made it to the top of the list and are unable to play your match in the allotted 3 day time period (as stated by Pure in the rules), you get moved to the waiting area.
4. Anyone after you on the list is then able to challenge the king while you are in the waiting area.
Here's where it gets a little confusing though, and I'm going to use myself as an example to try and clarify. I made it to the top of the list on March 3rd (I think), but I'm unable to play my match until March 9th. I voiced this very clearly and because I did so, Gem graciously placed me in the waiting area. It essentially holds my place at the top of the line until I'm ready to play. Therefore on March 9th (my scheduled match date) I have seniority over everyone in the challenger line regardless of their position.
I hope this wasn't too confusing, and if I'm wrong about this I'm sure Gem will clarify it for you.
