Play best of 3 games using ONE DECK per match. No sideboards. As soon as a match is over, another may begin.

After 3 days without playing, power will revert back to the previous king if no new matches are scheduled. In such an event, the dethroned king will be placed in a waiting list with priority over all other competitors until he is ready.

Sign up on here to secure your spot as a challenger (in a post below). Challenge the current king in the order of sign up. Current challenger has 24 hours to contact king for match time or will be skipped. If you lose a match you will be automatically be placed back on the waiting list. Challenge with any deck you want.

I will update this OP with king status, stats, etc... as often as possible. However, you can check the sign up order and keep playing matches as often as you can.

One week before the new set comes out, the top 3 kings based on total wins as King and challenging the hill will be counted (Tiebreaker: 1st. to a given point total). 2nd and 3rd will play. Winner will earn the right to play the 1 seed for the title of season Overlord, as well as starting the next season as king. Those 2 matches will be 5 games instead of 3, using a different deck each game. Any decks may be used.

the stupid thing about this 3 day rule is that it is often the fault of the challenger and not the king himself. Pure recognized that and it's why he would aggressively push people up the list. It was never a problem when Pure ran things cuz the guy 2nd on the list would speak up saying, "how about me?" and things would proceed and then Pure would bump number one to the waiting list.

i don't think you should be putting people back on the list that didn't ask to be put on the list (unless they confirm to you they want to).

your 24 hour rule is dumb too. People go out of town on weekends sometimes and stuff. this is league play. Heebs is right, giving this thing a more significant cash prize seems to have turned dumb people dumber

It's cool, as long as I'm king, I'm going to do basically anything I want, as long as it falls within Pure's (read: the actual) rules.

i have this fun fantasy that Gem manipulates the fake rules so much that he ends up winning the season championship. And then justifiably, Vert doesn't release the prize money.

In the third game, he misclicked on a Gideon TOKEN instead of the actual planeswalker and was a full tilt mode! Just like the character in his icon.
