I like the Reckless Fireweaver angle in deck 5 although not sure about flameshadow in there. There are some weird decks I will need to try to see if they actually do what it looks like they are trying to do, i'm pretty sure you can't flicker Willbreaker without loosing all the creatures you stole. I can see deck 6 working pretty well as a revolt control type, but probably could use a Call of Unity for finisher power.
(5: Grixis Tokens) Flickering triggers Flameshadow in deck 5 - so seems like you could really do some work with it, Fireweaver, a token generator and Flux. Or candyland 2 generators/Gearhulks and Displace. Seems like builder missed an interesting synergy w/ Inventor's Goggles, with all the Artificers in the deck, tho idk what would get cut for that
(6: Orzhov Tokens) I like Vengeful Rebel in deck 6 - that seems fun. Interesting mix of control and tokens. Not sure about Y.Expertise tho; kills all its own doods. seems great if taking T1-3 to set up with tap lands, maps, and Stockpile, then Yahenni aggro away before dropping its own creatures, but later on none of its own creatures survive it.
(7: Bant Humans) You're right about Willbreaker in deck 7 - leaving the battlefield for blink will cause you to lose captured creatures (card ruling on gatherer). Prob isn't meant to be a blink target, but rather to profit more off blinking Reflector. Interesting take on Bant flicker, going human theme. Curious it doesn't run Rogue Refiners, Renegade Rallier, or either
flying humans with ETB (tap/lifegain-draw) and went
3 mana blink over Displace. Guessing with less than 10 blinkable creatures, the card draw is better than the 2nd target creature, and decided goodstuff bombs like Tracker and Thalia were stronger choices than ETB mentions above. At any rate, flickering T.Lieutenant in a human deck seems fun.
(4: Temur Fog Tower) I like Trophy Mage in deck 4. Looks like the deck found a cool way to make it worth running, by using fogs/draw/burn/blink spells to help power one of the few 3 mana artifacts that's worth tutoring for. This seems like the most pioneering take, with others having some similarities to each other in various ways.
(3: Grixis Gearhulks) I like the Crain in deck 3, along with Vengeful Rebel (that I liked in deck 6). Wonder if 8 Vehicles/maps/Gearhulks are enough targets tho? Wonder if this deck could have used the Trophy Mage/Tower combo like deck 4? Has a few 3cmc vehicles to grab with flickered Mage too.
(2: Esper Revolt Tokens) like 3 and 6, I like the Vengeful Rebel. Clearly several builders were on that same page. Curious that none of the decks with
that went with blinkable ETB kill effects ran Gilt-Leaf Winnower - guess there's just too much competition in the 5cmc spot now. Some interesting choices with the artifact tokens / demon subtheme.
(1: Bant Classic Flicker) Deck 1 is the only one that went in an obvious (well tread) direction. Suspect it will perform the best, because it's already a thing that gets played more or less as is - but am def curious to see if any others can give it a run for its money.
Overall, it's cool to see so many goofy takes on blink. Several using it with Revolt, and several using it on token generators. Really enjoy seeing builds I haven't encountered before. I'm excited to take these for a spin.
