Hello everyone, I am Tevish Szat, resident Introductions & Off Topic thread creator. Please allow me to welcome you here.

If you are new here, then I think it is good to start with a little history. These forums began in September of 2013 in response to the state of the official Wizards of the Coast forums. It was, in a word, untenable. The software used then, the policies of moderation, and many other things aside drove us to leave. But, at the same time, many of us had become friends there, and we did not want to say farewell. Thus, we all went to the same place.

I am writing these words in the immediate wake of the events described, knowing they shall likely endure when the dust of ages has settled over all that is described. But, our origin speaks in some ways to our goal here. We wanted to create a place where community could survive, flourish, and grow and we would not to have to fear dissolution at the hands of a power that was unaware what it had on its hands and of the damage it was doing.

Ultimately, I feel that if this place is to survive and flourish, we must stay close to our roots, which is to say a community. So, whether you came with us in the diaspora or found this place later, I welcome you. Whether you consider yourself a Vorthos already, or are just poking your head in to see what the fuss is about, I welcome you. It is my sincere hope that you will come to consider these forums a place of at least some amusement, and its peoples to be friends, as I am sure they shall come to regard you. So, please take a moment to introduce yourself, perhaps to read the introductions of those who have gone before. I am sure there will be quite a lot of chatter -- feel free to join in however you see fit. This place is our home. I hope it shall be yours as well.

As such, I would ask at this time that you treat this place as what it is. Please, regard your fellows with respect, and, this may seem a bit of an odd request: while criticism of work is perfectly reasonable, it will not be considered acceptable to make personal attacks against authors or artists. While we are a small group now, we do hope to grow, and we would rather like the people who write or illustrate for Magic: the Gathering to feel like they are welcome here as well.

Again, you can consider this place your home, just so long as you can remember it is home for others as well.

Welcome Home.

~

As of November 2015, when we incarnate this thread for the fourth time, the home many of us came from has passed entirely. Whether you had roots in the Wizards of the Coast official forums or not, whether you are now returning, a refugee from the end, or a newcomer entirely, we are pleased to welcome you here.

~

There are a few things that came up in previous threads that I want to mention. Specifically, I am going to make the bold assumption that most of us here would like to be friends with most of the other folks here. So when you go to post a reply, take a moment -- just a moment. Enter the full editor, hit preview post and read what you've written. I would like to believe that most people are pretty good and have a pretty good sense of what's appropriate or not, if they take that moment to look at what they mean to say. I hope we shall not have to change the thread rules to make certain topics off limits, because I think this community is full of intelligent people who can have good insights into just about any matter.

First Thread (Welcome Home)
Second Thread (Wrath of Welcome)
Third Thread (Beyond Welcomdome)
Fourth Thread (A New Welcome)

I definitely do not have a good sense of what is appropriate and what is not and am pretty dense in general. Anybody should feel free to bluntly tell me when I'm doing something wrong.

I sense Welcome Thread title length creep starting to occur. Low long will it be in Welcome Home LVIII?

Tradition makes its harsh demands,
And calls out to my poet's hands.
This trippy sense of déjà vu,
Requires that I welcome you,
Just as I have four times before,
In this, my rhyming, rhythmic chore,
My name is Raven, nice to meet
you, here, where we all come to greet
and talk and laugh and share our minds,
on all imagination finds.
I spend my hours (most of them)
Just right next door: The M:EM
We use our skills with words and diction,
To write a host of fan-made fiction,
So check it out, feel free to roam,
But most of all, be welcome home!

I'm not sure that the second "Home" in the title is necessary. THe Title's a Die Hard reference, right?
I'll do a new intro post when I'm not tired.

Hi all... with my laptop's "death" last December I've been reduced to MOBA playing after discovering it the same time.

At the moment I have 3 MOBA's in my phone and have been alternating between them.

I guess my digital art days are on a hold for now until I get a laptop in 2018/2019 haha! (I'm looking on resurrecting my Windows XP Desktop tho if that can still carry digital art software loads... )

Guesses on the story being told in this music video? All I have is that Finland's countryside is beautiful and that teen me listened to cringey music.
