The art style for this new set looks great. I'm getting a mysterious vibe from it that reminds me a bit of Tempest and Tempest was my favorite set in terms of feel so I'm all in.

Doesn't usually matter for us buuuuut Liliana giving -1/-1 counters probably means -1/-1 counters is a thing in Amonkhet.

for a 7 mana walker the + effect of liliana looks weak to me, it's a +2 so it compensates by contributing more quickly to whatever the ultimate is but still. My whole turn for -1/-1 to one creature ... I'm curious about the - effect.

Yeah, well it's a starter PW deck walker so was never going to be too great.

I don't think you understand how snek works. -1/-1 counters are great vs. snek, but using them alongside each other has no synergy

Looks like there will be "natural" looking minions of the Gods based on some artwork revealed. The Gods basically look like humans with metallic head swaps, but their minion races just look like anthropomorphised versions of them. Speculating races, I'd guess:

White Kitty Lady - Cat/Leonin (likely the former)
Blue Heron Dude - Aven
Red Croc - Viashino?
Black Pupper - Likely a new race, might just be labelled "hound" type like Ainok Guide.
Green Snek - Snake "X" like Sakura-Tribe Elder.

My Guess is;

Legendary Creature - God
Legendary Creature - God
Legendary Creature - God
Legendary Creature - God
Legendary Creature - God

Hmm they should have made Liliana's plus 2 make all opponent creatures receive -1/-1 per turn! Would have offset Gideon's plus 2.

But yeah counters may be it. Hopefully we see some powerful curse enchantments and auras, especially if they can be planted on or affect vehicles.

Ok, let's talk possible reprints. I'm more interested in any that fit Amonkhet thematically, than mechanically (-1/-1 counters), but anything's fine. What came to my mind were cards like Desert Twister and Entomb. Both fun and on theme. What can you think of?

Of course, Damnation would be nice to see in HOD where it'd make thematic sense, but I doubt we'll see it reprinted in standard like Fel said. Not that it affects either choo-choo.dec or Saheeli.dec in any meaningful way. Hero's Downfall would be thematic for character death too. Anger of the Gods could work, and would be a sweeper to cripple Vehicles (suck it Scrounger!)
