I have an idea for a super weird deck that I'm now actually super intrigued by lol.

Bant Flicker is my favorite deck to play in duels. Strong and fun :)

Really think these contests should be posted individually in the constructed subforum. It would leave a searchable thread, so if someone later is wanting to build a flicker deck (for example), the contest thread would hit in search results and they could see all the versions compiled there. You could still use this one in the general forum to announce new contests.

Unless you were already planning to do that once you collect the submissions, in which case carry on.

Idea: builders should stream/record 3 matches with their deck. This would help other people get an idea of how they all work if they don't have time to build and play every deck.

Obviously it doesn't work if submissions are anonymous, but if we go back to public builders - we're all playtesting our own stuff anyways, so not much extra effort to record.

I would, but I can't: I've currently got Flinstones level internet. Also, all of the iOS folks would have an extremely hard time doing this.

Fair enough, wasn't thinking about iOS folk - and aside from bad internet I'm sure there are folk who don't have recording set up and aren't interested in that kinda thing. So not an idea for a requirement, but an idea for a strong recommendation for those of us who can and are already doing it for tourneys and KotH.

Agreed. Giocher, when you create the poll thread with all the submitted decks can you create it in the constructed forum rather than the general one, it makes more sense when discussing a specific deck type.

Is there a minimum of flicker spells/creatures that must be included?

I'd say a minimum of 5-6 should be a requisite, less than that it isn't really a flicker deck

I would say at least 5, you could do less but I would expect that to get a poor rating in the poll as it is not on theme :teach:

there's no minimum but I really hope something with 1 flicker card would get zero votes.

And don't bother streaming while playing your own builds. I'm not going to watch them. I'll determine how best to play them, and especially, how to misplay them :)

Yeah, anything with less than 5 should be mocked...on other news, it isn't like you can cram 12 in a brew.

I'm gonna set that minimum for me...yesterday I wasn't at home, but I had time and paper, so I brewed like half dozen versions: Bant, Bant corrupted, AzoCorr, SelesynaCorr, Temur energy and 5 colors...I'll check there's that minimum in all the builds

Yeah i think it could be fine. I will ask to a moderator to move this thread in the subforum and i will create every new poll there. I think it won't have problems of visibility.

I thought about 8/9 at least, but i leave it to the deckbuilders.

8-9 would be impossible without including white. There are only a total of 7 blue flicker spells.

That's right. If we only talk about flicker spells then 5-6 are fine. I was thinking about something else that could be related to flicker, like good etb cards like blazer, but it is difficult to define it. Better if we only talk about flicker effects and say at least 5-6.

Do Displacement Wave and Crush of Tentacles count as a flicker effect with etb permanents?

I wouldn't think everyone needs the videos, but I think it would def be useful for some people. Like me - my play time is fairly limited (if we have 7 competitors, I can't build and play all more than maybe 1 game each in a week), but I can watch videos while multitasking house chores/packing/pacing with an overtired infant, etc. Why do you think I kept bugging you to stream your testing last time :teach:
