Looking through the showdown decklists, I decided to post some interesting stats about card choices/popularity:

26/37 decks with black (who said black sucks?)
20/37 decks with red (lost its place from kaladesh as the most popular color)

Unpopular Artifact/Enchantment hate:
0x fragmentize (what does that say in a 25% mardu vehicle meta?)

That instant speed removal that hits creatures as well as vehicles is superior? Also white isn't very popular outside of the vehicle decks themselves, with black and red being the main colours. Push, Lightning, Grasp and Disintegration does enough work without narrowing your deck. Fragmentize is a sideboard card. Might see play if there's an after party.

When kryder puts in sideboards and forces everyone to reroll to have the 'play/draw' mechanic mirror paper so that the game isn't reduced to a lottery resulting in a big circle wank, maybe I'll be interested.

There's no pleasing everyone, and I'm ok with that. Plenty of people have fun with the tournaments with all their flaws and glory.

Seriously, you have your reasons, and that's cool. I realized a long time ago you can't please everyone, so I made my decisions and went with it. I hope you decide to give it a go next time or sometime in the future, but no worries.

In such an aggro heavy meta.. alternating who is on the play/draw seems extremely important.

I agree. Going 2 times on the draw sucks against aggro.

Then it's always 1-2 mana removal or bust.

i hope Mobius goes the entire tournament on the draw again, that was hilarious

Two matches played till now, 6 games. On the play vs on the draw: 5-1. Maybe it would be interesting if someone keeps track of this...
