Amonkhet needs to bring more of... pretty much everything to Duels.

If there was a tri-land cycle, would you prefer Shards or Wedges?

I'd edge towards a shard cycle myself, because I think control decks (Grixis/Esper) need it the most. Creature decks often run green and so have other options to fix that control decks just don't have.

My predictions:

In the beginning, there will be cards. Some of the cards will be good. And some of the cards will not be good. Duels will get a few of the good cards, and more of the bad cards. And then there will be woe unto many about the good cards and the bad cards. Many a plague will visit the peoples of Xbox, Steam, and iOS. Stainless will speak to the people and tell them that their problems are not unknown to them, but they must be patient and wait for answers to be delivered upon the next release.

So it has been, so it shall be.

Pw removal? You know, a card that says destroy target Pw and isn't +6 CC.
I'd like a playable equipment too. Pretty please!

Having the Grixis godfather in a wedge block sounds like a very dumb idea, so I guess there's your answer.

I speculate that with the O.G. of Grixis at the helm, we can expect some sweet control cards.

I predict all the old paintings on the tombs do the sand dance, don't you know, if they move too quick (whoo ee ooh) they fall down like a domino. Bazaar men by the Nile got the money on a bet, Gold crocodiles (whoo ee ooh) snap their teeth on your cigarette. Foreign types with the hookah pipes say ee oh ee oh, ee oh ee oh and walk like an Egyptian.

I predict a lot mythological hybrid creatures/gods because that's what the Egyptians worshiped. So crocodiles, birds, dogs, snakes, and monkey hybrids. Maybe hippos as well.
Anubis

amunet

sekhmet

Horus

Maybe a stargate and little snakes that possess people... wait that's another show.

Lots of things with Horns

I can't help but wonder how they will tie Amonkhet to Kaladesh mechanically. They have tying each new block to the previous one mechanically for awhile now so I expect them to continue.

I don't see them supporting Energy directly because it is a big mechanic, but it does grant players tokens so maybe they will have some subset of cards that mess with tokens that players control.

I could see them putting in more Vehicles (chariots?) or they could add things that support vehicles in a softer way like creatures with a high power to toughness ratio.

They can easily support Revolt by adding lots of flicker and sacrifice effects. Revolt is such an open ended mechanic that they don't need to do much to support it.

Improvise is the tricky one since it requires artifacts on the field. I don't know how much effort they want to put in to tie the new block to an ability from a small set. However there are lots of cards in Kaladesh block that care about having artifacts in your deck or in play so if there were more artifacts than the average amount in Amonkhet I wouldn't be surprised.

Kaladesh has a good amount of cards that put +1/+1 counters on creatures so I figure that Amonkhet will support that, either with its own +1/+1 counter mechanic or with cards that otherwise interact with creatures that have counters on them.

There's not usually a direct and solid mechanical connection. I doubt there's much of artifact play but there could be a few creatures with tap triggers just like they have done in AER, which plays nicely with being tapped for crew and they'll probably have 1 or 2 artifacts that are cheap for improvise but that's it.
There's not going to be new vehicles since that just happened and research on how evergreen they can be wouldn't have been completed yet.

+1/+1 counters is easy, seems to be a thing now that they have to have some kind of +1/+1 counters theme in each block.

Yeah? So? That's basically what I was saying. There's not typically hard-lined mechanical connections between blocks but easy ways to flow between the two in the same way MaRo outlined there for going backwards into Innistrad block.
There's no need to try and keep vehicles, just have more creature where being tapped matters like the AER pilots.

Revolt gets flicker and sacrifice like you said, easily stuff in every block especially since flicker seems to have been on a steady increase the past few sets. Actually I have a feeling that one of the "groups" in Amonkhet block will be heavily based on flicker, whether that's a shard, wedge or some other grouping (probably shards and bant flicker group if we follow the logic that Bolas is Grixis and people want a new shard plane).

For improvise I don't think there needs to be a more than average amount of artifacts, I just think they need a couple of good-decent ones maybe another self sac artifact that also works with revolt. They could also easily bring back a few good equipments, which have been missing lately and could go two steps back to work with the Boros guys before Kaladesh.

Actually, speaking of messing around with counters, AER got a couple of sneaky cards that do mess around with creature, player and planeswalker counters which is kind of nice for +1/+1 and energy but I wouldn't be surprised if one of the groups focused on that sort of thing and there was another player counter in Amonkhet block (maybe something negative like poison?).

Me too! A return of hybrid costs would be cool too.
