Hey we are twins... Is anyone *ahem* a little ashamed by the 'Hour played count' showing up on Steam? I've had two people ask me about it. I sometimes leave it on overnight, and on Windows 10 the process seems to get orphaned. Yeah thats it.

Mowie, funny you mention that. I am just about to 100% Battle Islands and i have something around 20 days played in that, it's embarassing. I decided to check Magic just for fun and i glanced quickly at the number. I'm pretty sure it was 46 days played or something. That's over 1,100 hours of time played. Amazing value this game is. I haven't spent a dime and I'm actually ahead if we don't value my time at all.

Two things that struck me about that number:
1) How the heck do I not have the 500 quest achievement yet
2) I am not even CLOSE to being in the top 3 of Total Time Played in my friends list. I haven't looked who holds the title but I imagine Gem must be up there.

it really is a great game. I've loved these Duels games since they first came out in 2009. The coin/economy system is a great excuse to keep playing

Started around zenzikar, took a two months break a couple of times and never grinded to the cap.

I started duels about a year ago, at least playing fairly regularly then (I'm on IOS, btw). I spent something between $50-$100 when I first started to build up my card base. I don't remember exactly how much, but it was enough to buy 2-3 big batches of boosters. I had been saving gold and was well upwards of 20K when AER hit. I was surprised by how little it took to buy all of the boosters, and then for some inexplicable reason, I went and bought everything in the store, as the gold didn't seem to have any value.

I must have missed the option to foil all of the cards, I'll go look for that and probably do it too, as I'm back over 10,000 gold again, and climbing...

Oh man, I regret foiling my ORI thopters deck so hard. It sticks out like a sore thumb.

i did the same, Mowie, but I don't regret it. When i run into a foiled card now, it reminds me of those good ol' days

@Barney - it was watching you stream with a foiled deck in a tourney that convinced me to never, ever foil. Made it so I couldn't tell the difference between white or blue spells on a cursory glance, more difficult to identify individual cards, and just an eyesore in general

oh yeah, that stupid Spirits deck. I couldn't tell my white cards from my blue. Displacer looks colourless when its foiled. Ugh.

I've been FTP since Origins on iOS and I have all sets completed except 5 packs of AER, but no gold reserve or cosmetics.

I recently got an Xbox One and have been FTPing on there some as well, but I've only got about 15% of SOI and 15% of AER unlocked. I do enjoy playing with a controller on Xbox, but the grind is way too much for me after doing it on iOS. I really wish that accounts on different platforms weren't separate

Been playing since release, but dialed back to about 3-4 wins per night, usually in as many games. I have 100% unlocked and about 42k in the bank.

yeah, that's exactly my beat. I do 2-3 wins per night, with the exception of a new expansion coming out and that's when I play until I either hit the daily cap or level 40.

But this stupid deckbuilding contest has breathed new life into playing like a maniac so I'm having fun piloting all these Abzan revolt decks. Joker really found a cool activity to do.

I can't see my time played on Ipad but my playtime of 2015 was measure in weeks and I think I've played Duels a bit more

Glad you appreciated it and it's having success. It's very time expensive, but maybe 2 decks in a month can keep it interesting without too much committment.

Now imagine decks with a better deck concept

yeah, this thing has tons of potential cuz we have so many gifted deck builders here and Secret of TIMH as well.

I like Joker's idea of doing Spike decks a week or two before a tournament starts. "Mardu Vehicles...GO!"

Also imagine how it would be easy to build a control deck with a more defined tournament meta
