For those that don't know Dethy (or if you just need a quick reminder), Dethy is a five player game. It is an open set up. It is also more of a logic puzzle than a mafia game. Here are the roles:

Krampus: May kill a target player during the night except on Night 0.
Santa Claus: May target a player during the night to see if they have been Naughty or Nice.
Santa Claus: May target a player during the night to see if they have been Naughty or Nice.
Santa Claus: May target a player during the night to see if they have been Naughty or Nice.
Santa Claus: May target a player during the night to see if they have been Naughty or Nice.

Here's the kicker, each Santa will have a different Sanity. If you're unfamiliar with how Sanity works in mafia, here's a basic break down:

Sane: Results are true.
Insane: Results are inverted.
Naive: Results are always Nice.
Paranoid: Results are always Naughty.

So the logic puzzle isn't to figure out who is the scumbro, but which Santa has which Sanity. To make the game harder, Sanity isn't revealed upon a Santa's death. Because this variant is so damn town sided and it's the giving season, Krampus is getting an extra gift this year. He will have the following ability added to his role:

Imperial Helles: Once per game Krampus may :censored: up Santa's world. All investigations for the night will be inverted. One random player will be roleblocked. One random player will be silenced for the following day. One random player will be poisoned, dying the following night. One random player will be unknowingly redirected that night to a random target.

Player List:

1. KoD
2. Fred
3. Neo
4. Lunchbox
5. Zings

Once you've received your role confirm via PM along with any Night 0 action you may wish to take. Consider it Night 0 during confirmations and refrain from posting in thread.

Alrighty kiddos, pop open another slot on your advent calendar and gobble some chocolate because it's officially Day 1!

But there's some other business to attend to. Due to personal error the Helles ability did not resolve as intended. Specifically the inversion clause. Yes, this is a mod confirmation that the ability was used last night, but frankly you'd have to be a sack of potatoes not to realize this in the long run. So this means three things: 1) Your results received last night are not inverted as they should be. 2) The inversion is being split off into a second ability so that Kramps is not getting shafted on things that should have been done. 3) I am adding No Lynch as a viable majority target - for those who recall my previous dethy's the only way to no lynch was to literally have zero votes cast at deadline. This is due to the fractured abilities creating a timing differential. No lynch as a viable majority option allows town to retain an easy control on the pacing of the game should it choose to implement it.

With that said if you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM me with them. In the meantime everybody but KoD is free to talk through the course of the day. Deadline will be set after the weekend.

Ok, well someone should explain if there is anything I should know about dethy play, cause I never played before.
Shouldn't we all target the same guy and then lynch them? I haven't thought it through, but seems like a good idea.
Also, are the naive and paranoid cops worthless? Are there cases where they help?

The other three of you remain. As long as discussion holds, I won't set a deadline and I'll let you finish this game on majority.
