I lost 1-2

Giocher vs Haven: 1-2.
Finally this Afterparty is over, with the enviable record 0-4!!! I knew i would not win this tourney with this deck, but i have never thought about this. Some bad plays, some bad luck, some bad sideboard choices, these are the recipes. This deck does not perform without the surprise effect.
In game 1 i managed to get the combo because Haven was stuck at 4 lands, and even with some lifegain i finished him with fiery temper.
In game 2 i was stuck at 3 lands for a couple turns and he took advantage with some hand destruction. No languish in time for me.
In game 3 he reanimated my colossus, but he could also reanimate his Ulamog with the same result.
GGs Haven, your sideboard tech of cutting the removals was supereffective , i had too many dispels for nothing.
This deck can be attacked from too many sides, quite easy to disrupt when you know its weak points. With just a bit of luck my record could be 2-2, but i also had to pilot it better. Anyway this deck always won the pre sideboard games, it performs well in ladder, maybe Barney could be interested to use it...

Joly plays blueless walkers. I play Jeskai walkers - The last match of the KLD season.

I don't feel I chose a worse deck than Joly's. I ended the showdown 1:2 losing to him and wished I could win this one.

G1 - Joly on the play with a T4 Sorin. I kept a 2 land hand with fevered visions. By the time his sorin reached 7 loyalty I was still stuck at 2 lands. I didn't have anything in hand to kill the deathcap cultivators in T2 and T3 - only 2 blessed alliance.

G2 - I played T3 visions, T4 visions, T5 tutelage. He managed to fragmentize two visions but I ended up with a tutelage mill win.

G3 - I kept a 3 land hand but didn't draw into a 4th land - While I missed my T4 gideon, he played his T4 Nahiri. When I finally managed to get my 4th land, he's got Nahiri ultimate Greenwarden. I had no chance.

I won 2-1
Game 1, Kept a slow hand, but with a counterspell and all my colors, but then I got stuck at 4 land and not even vampir lifegain helped to avoid his combo.
Giocher then says that he always wins game 1, then looses after sideboards... He was right.
Game 2, My Hand-hate sideboard gamble payed off and it slowed him down and the random discard made him lose an ever after.
Game 3, Not a great start, but he was burning me instead of my creatures. Then when I was about to reanimate Ulamog, I remembered to get one of his combo pieces and that set back his combo enough for the win.

Good games Giocher, its a shame you didn't win any matches. I agree that the deck benefits a lot from the surprise effect, but you have been a little unlucky too.
