Game 1: We both had everything ready for our combos and with my colossus on board he played his and I had just enough interaction to stop it. Very close game, tense right down to the end when either of us could win
Game 2: He had a lot more trouble getting all the combo pieces into his graveyard, bad luck as he drew 3/4 of his deck by the end. Because of this he was on the defensive and was able to kill my colossus twice, but the second time he was forced to discard both ever afters to 2 lighting axes to stay alive. That put us both in top deck mode, but all I needed was a couple lands to recast the colossus and I had key to the city to help filter. I found the lands and that was game.

Good games Giocher, that was a pretty tense round and fun to match up a couple of different kind of decks.

Well, the jank is strong in my deck, but i also make lot of mistakes. His Metalwork Colossus is a tough threat for my deck and he played very well.
In game 1, i got all the combo pieces almost at the same time he got Colossus on the board. I could wait another turn and survive at 1 life, but he had Tamiyo's Journal and 3 clues, so maybe i would not survive. So i risked the combo, hoping that he would not have a removal in his hand but only the one with Journal.
In game 2 i decided to sideboard only Unlicensed Disintegration for his Colossus, and not Spell Shrivel, because he would cast it for free. This is my first mistake, because Shrivel would be useful also for his other artifacts and to slow down the Colossus.
My second mistake (not in order of time) was to play lands too fast, because this forced me to discard 2 Ever After to kill his Colossus with 2 Lightning Axes.
But maybe the biggest mistake was that i didn't reanimated 2 Colossus on turn 6, i was too focused on the combo that i thought i had only 1 in the graveyard. Maybe that would be the game for me, forcing him to use his removals and also trade with his Colossus.
GGs Matt, i didn't deserve to win with such mistakes, and now i suppose i'm toofar from the afterparty title.

Game 1: I was on the draw, it was very close. He made a couple of misplays but I top-decked well enough to hang in there and snatch the win

Game 2: I was on the play, sideboarded in extra removal and it payed off. Kept a hand with no blue but with plenty of removal and it was enough to keep the threats off the board and take control. He got stuck at 2 lands and I dropped ob nix, big jace and skysouvereign.

Lawdy plays Grixis control with counterspells spam. I play Jeskai walkers.

Before the game looking at the deck lists, I was counting on my T3 visions or tutelage because he runs so many counterspells. I am fairly satisfied with my luck and all three games I had possible T3 visions. The bad part was I was on the draw all three times.

G1: I had T3 visions. lawdy was on the play and had counter online for that. A big Jace on curve won the game for him.
G2: I had T3 visions. lawdy was on the play and had counter online for both my T3 and T4 plays. He's got a flipped jace emblem and I managed to have a big Jace emblem the same turn. I managed to find big Chandra before I was milled.
G3: I had T3 visions. lawdy was on the play and played T3 visions as well. The two visions drew crazily for both of us and burned me hard. He was able to draw a bunch of dispels I believe. I couldn't draw either Tutelage or fragmentize or walkers in time. So ironically, I ended up losing to his T3 visions.

Game 1 - I almost threw it away by playing gideon instead of casting oath of liliana to protect my 7 counter lili and got massively punished. Superfriends grindy power kept me ahead however
Game 2 - Fast game where I had an early wanderer doing a ton of damage. He went for an early rise of the tide but my read the bones drew me into the declaration in stone and it was over.

I win 2-1. I was on the play all 3 games which was a huge advantage.

Game 1 - I had a counter for his t3 visions, he got nahiri out and i got big jace out. Jace ultimate eventually wins the game.

Game 2 - Was more interesting, I invested into getting Baby Jace ultimate. However, I made a huge misplay in not bouncing his Big Jace before ultimate, and i didn't have enough spells to mill him before his threats came.

Game 3 - Was a visions race. We both got out t3 visions, but i also had chandra t4, he had to invest to get rid of it and i was able to keep mana up defensively with a big head start on the burn race.

I mean I lost 0-2 which was expected, but that second game was nutz
Game 1: I was on the play and he had turn 3 visions, but that didn't affect me too bad. I had a key misplay but I'm not sure it mattered, when I attacked with just a colossus into a blessed alliance.
Game 2: Well I nearly won by decking Wanderer decking himself, to give you a taste as to how weird this one was. The game took like 45min as he had answers to most of my key spells and I was able to kill most of his planeswalkers. Leaving neither of us with a clear way to win. I may have missed out on an opportunity to win when I forgot to equip my colossus to give it has and had it prompty removed sorcery speed. I also almost won by life drain from underhanded designs as he was down to 1 life, when he remembered that nahri could kill it, despite both cards being on the board almost the entire game. Safe to say we both made some mistakes and WoodlandWanderer won with 1 card on his library.

Good games WoodlandWanderer, that was pretty epic.

Matt plays artifacts colossus. I play Jeskai walkers. Luck continued from my last round, I got T3 visions in both games.

First game visions helped me draw many many cards and I was able to answer his colossus.

Second game visions almost milled myself to death... I answered his threats with imprison. He did great too with Skyship and others to kill my walkers and prevent them from ultimating. I had almost no idea how I managed to win when my deck had 1 card. We both made misplays but with all the permanents on board it was very hard to make the right decisions.

Giocher vs fuss: 1-2.
I only win pre-sideboard games, maybe sideboard was a mistake... No i'm kidding, it was not a sideboard problem, i was only too greedy.
In game 1 i got the combo before his final blow.
In game 2 i flipped titi, but he killed it after one attack, i tried to get the combo and as i said i was too greedy, i only needed to find a removal and i would get the combo, but no luck.
No luck also in game 3, because he got thalia, then selfless spirit. I only needed one land to use languish but i got only 2 evolving wilds, 2 turns that made he win, otherwise i would have all the pieces.
GGs fuss, no luck for me in the afterparty, but i don't give up and at least i wanna win a round. I know that this deck can do a lot better, but i didn't give it what it deserves.

I won it 2-1.
Game 1 I thought I had it made, was up 20-5 and had 2 big flyers out but he got his combo put together and smacked me for 20.
Game 2 and 3 I got to him before he could complete that same combo luckily for me.

Game 1: he played a turn 3 visions, but chandra's +1 and the mana dork vehicle gave me enough mana advantage to overrun all his counters, while the visions and some tracker clues kept giving me card draw
Game 2: I had a near perfect threat chain starting with turn 3 lili on the play.

game1: lost to counters & sweepers
game2: burn out with fevered visions until i could finish with abbey token
game3: instant speed tides with counterspell backup and an opp that couldnt get past 3 land drops.

He took it 2-1.

Game 1, I played defensively, killed 2 titis languished his zombies and countered another tides and controlled the game.

Game 2, He played early visions which swept my plan to ultimate an early lilly but kept me alive. His counters kept my key plays from working, then when I finally hit 10 land. I played Ulamog to get rid of his 2 visions, but I guess I forgot about the abbey. Unluckily, I was at 9 life so he sailed his demon to victory.

Game 3, has no story at all. I kept a 3 land hand and died with 3 land. 7 or 8 straight turns without drawing a 4th land. I play 24... So I guess you can call it variance. Terrible way to lose a decisive game, but it happens...

Game 1: Fuss had a super fast start, including turn 4 Gideon and I was destroyed
Game 2: This time Fuss's start wasn't quite as fast and I managed to stabilize, albeit with a Gisela on his side enchanted with Angelic Destiny (is that a double angel?), but I held it off with my aether vials and attacked for the win with unblockable colossus and menacing noxious gearhulk
Game 3: Similar to game 2, except I got further behind before stabliizing, and I couldn't stall quite long enough against his flying threat, I died with both colossus on the board.
