We have a second chance for negate. I feel we can get it this time, but this means no Baral. Anyway, negate is already in standard, why did they reprint it?
Another thing even if it not the right place here, i would pay coins for alternative arts of cards in duels, i don't like this negate art.

2) Sets rotate out of Standard at different points in time.

Play and +1 Gideon.
Next turn, -4 Gideon, then blink him, and then -4 him again.

Boom. +2/+2 forever.

Yeah, this is a set that absolutely requires Negate for it's entire time in Standard, so the reprint makes sense.

Yeah, i only thought that they would reprint it immediately after it rotated out, while for limited they often reprint cards like wind drake.

Also, the sets that we are getting right now were designed for a smaller version of Standard. It will probably be another year or two before they will be able to adjust for the bigger Standard environment.

I don't stay super up on Pro Tour stuff, but I remember the Top 8 decks from the Kaladesh Pro tour thing that Yasooka won, 5 out of the Top 8 decks ran it, every deck that ran blue. Sure, it's a sideboard card, but it's an important one.

On a less salty sidenote, here's some stuff I like for you to call trash.


- More relevant than Dark Intimations would be for Duels at the same cmc.

- 1 Mana lategame finisher for UB Artifacts.

- Insane value if there's a deck that runs Artifacts with enchantments that use them to win (not sure if those decks want White though...)

Perilous Predicament seems really hit or miss. I like that it's an instant so you can hit a vehicle plus pilot, but it's trash vs go wide strategies, and thopter/servos decks look like they'll be a thing again. Looks like a better limited card than duels constructed.

The blue hexproof dood looks interesting, and I want to play around with an Improvise deck, but I'm not sure how good it will actually be.

I want to pair Restoration Specialist with the new arrest aura that exiles its target when you attack with a vehicle. Crew vehicle with specialist and then sac EOT to get your aura back (along with the vehicle if it died on the block)! Pair that with the dood that has revolt ability to gravedig a 2CMC creature to rinse and repeat...

Negate is often maindeckable in Limited, and in this format it's even better thanks to Vehicles.



Control, Yasooka-style or not, completely vanished from the metagame after the PT. You can thank Emrakul and UW Flash for that.

I really like it for aggro. 2/0 and trample for 2 creatures for 1R? Great.

Yeah, can't wait for opponent to drop that combo and then spend 2 minutes resolving abilities before attacking with 25+ cats.

I would probably play this over Larger Than Life.
