i played chess 2 by sirlin for the first time a bit ago and it was surprisingly fun mostly because of the midline invasion and the dueling i think it makes it feel like there are a few different strategies you can try and you can dump your hand on a cheesy gambit if you're feeling like it also some of the teams are really silly feeling

i assume the game is designed to be interesting in higher level play too, although i doubt I'd ever find someone who wanted to plumb the depths of competitive chess 2 with me
