Vert wins, 2-1

In a deck with 25 lands, I manage to miss my third land drop EVERY SINGLE DAMN GAME. But I crawl back into Games 2 (thanks Copter) and 3 (thanks Tamiyo)

Vert 2-0.

I expected Esper since he ran it like 5 times in a row during his run as king, so Spirits seemed like a great matchup call. This was similar to his Esper deck, but including red. Only red spell I really remember was Chandra, which I countered.

I actually flooded pretty awful Game 1 (something like 12 of my first 18 were lands or something), but the card draw from Tamiyo drove me. He almost flipped it when I tapped out for Foundry of the Consuls and he was able to nuke Tamiyo with me tapped down by flashing in Torrential Gearhulk. It got really close to me running out of steam, but Adverse Conditions bought me an extra turn by shutting down Jace and I pounded across the last point of damage.

Game 2, I just got way ahead by flashing in threats and making him answer while never dropping my counter shield. He slammed Lili, but I decided not to counter because Avacyn sealed it that same turn.
