On Steam, Questing Legend is 500 daily quests done. (probably the same on other platform, but I don't know/care)

Today, if you've "kept up", you should be around 487 quests in. Assuming you did one on day 1 and every new quests between then and now.

I tried by memory, and I think I've missed maybe a weeks worth or so. So I should get that done in about 3 weeks time. Somehow I'm not that excited, I'd love for them to add new achievements specific to each set with each release. Stuff like, "mill opponent for 30 cards in 1 turn" or "crew and attack with 8 vehicles in the same turn" or "take 3 turns in a row" or "exile 10 permanents in a single game".

Or are the achievements just a pinch of salt that you wouldn't even miss if they weren't there ?

The only achievements I bothered with was that ramp one, to play a 7cmc creature by turn 4. I made a mono Green ramp and 7 drop deck and did it with the now "removed" elk. Then I promptly deleted the deck. I thought about posting the deck for anyone wanting to do the same, but its not all that hard...
Some new achievements could be interesting for moments like this mid-season when things start getting boring... As long as they are really hard to achieve, could be an entertaining distraction.
The 500 quest achievement is basically a testament to persistance. I've missed plenty of daily quests and I didn't start playing on release, so I'm not gonna get that one anytime soon... Still, atm its all very... Who cares?
When I started playing the achievements were sort of nice, now they seem rather pointless, especially since there haven't been any new ones...

All of these achievements have been there since ORI. They have never been updated, replaced or whatnot.

I'm at 45/49 and while they were definitely nice as a guide what you could do in the early days, they have lost most of their relevance now; at least for me. If I were a new player, I would not go out of my way to have 20 Elves in play or have flip Chandra deal 12 damage to my opponent.

Ha, I just went out of my way to complete Chandra's 12d achievement 2 days ago. Had never bothered looked at the achievements before this week, but finally did and picked away the few left I could do on the spot that hadn't come naturally in games (fetch 3 creature from GY during a battle in Liliana's campaign, put 4 auras on 1 creature, and 12d with flip Chandra).

Chandra's was annoying, and I'm glad I never actively tried to complete it before I unlocked T's Journal to tutor her up and provide the clue draw to have two red spells in hand when needed...

That should teach you to not play mono-red!
Flip chandra's quest was easy.

But some new update related achievements make sense... Hello stainless? Wakey, wakey! Get your act together...

I believe that day was the first time I played mono red in duels. Played about 5 matches with just red cards and mountains and never drew her. Then I added journals, and that got it done. Just annoying because it requires you to find a 1 of, then hope opp doesn't have an answer (because creature dies to ALL the removals) before you can flip her, then protect her for 4 turns while she does enough damage for achievement. All the while taking care not to do more than 8 damage to opp through other sources...

But yeah, it would be nice if they added new achievements with set updates

I personally would love to complete the questing legend achievement in the future (maybe in a few months idk) and then be done with playing duels for the sake of achievements. I don't need new achievements, but it makes sense for new players.

Didn't the ramp achievement even counted if you got the creature out by turn 5?

I purposefully built an elves deck to get the 20 elves achievement, which I did! Only for some reason, Duels or Xbox didn't recognize it and now I cannot get it again. I had 25 elves the other day and still wouldn't trigger the achievement. Any ideas how to get it working?

i got all the achievements (except the 500 quest one) in the first 100 days I think. This is the only one i'm missing and i'm glad to hear it must be right around the corner at this point. yay

I like just got the "Win 10 solo battles" achievement.

I played lots of mono-R being one of the few viable decks durinng BfZ... and never got her Achievement. Whenever I cast her, the game never lasted the 4 more turns needed. Same deal with Gideon; the game was over before Walker Gideon attacked 3 times.




It never did; otherwise I would've had it having cast countless t5 Gaea's Revenges during ORI/BFZ. Durinng that time, the quest was almost impossible (your only Ramp spell cutting more than 1 land into play was Animist's Awakening lol). It got possible with OGW/SOI due to Ruin in their Wake/Explosive Vegetation, and easy with EMN thabks to Emerge.

Heh, I got as far as the 100 solo wins one. 500 is probably at least 3-4 years away. My brain can't cope with more than 1-2 AI battles pr week

i was teh first one to get that one and Mobius wrote something humiliating on my wall when I posted it (it was funny as balls)

First for 100 or 500 for the AI solo battles? And what date did they unlock? I was grinding hard at the release of Duels to get everything unlocked and then ahead of the curve for the next set(s) so I'm curious how we compare (in fact I pretty much did nothing but grind the AI during Origins because of my starter box card pool). I'm Aug 9th, 2015 for 100 and Aug 26th, 2015 for 500. FYI - Magic Duels release date was July 29th, 2015.

First for 500 solo battles. I got it in the first 3 months of the game. It sounds like you beat me for both. Let me try to dig up

500 battles - November 6
100 battles - August 11

I gave up on this achievement and Duels in general the moment it kept giving me only PvP quests and trying to get a match on Xbox is too annoying to deal with. I was fine doing my daily quests when it was just "Win 2 duels with *insert colours here*" and you could do it in PvP or PvE.

First one to get the 500 quests cheevo should post here. I'd like to think I'd be the first but Elk has shown me that I'm not as devoted as I thought I was

Similar to Nuke, my quests will be behind because the PvP requirement was the majority of the options for this set. That definitely put me behind.
