Pretty sure putting on the bottom is the way the game is set up.

And yes, Gaunter does seem better, so I will test him. Only slight negative is that he creates a number of 1 power creatures that might have to stick around via the Monsters faction ability, but it does give me something extra to turn a Commander's Horn on or something.

There were a lot of changes. My deck is now dead. Time to start learning the other cards I guess.

Geralt sucks in monsters now. And Dagon got cheaper, so that's cool and speeds my deck build up

Trebuchets are trash now, playing with them feels horrible. The damage output is way too low and Adrenaline Rush plus Foltest no longer plays around Scorch/Igni because the self-buff clause has been removed. I think they need to put the damage back to two and leave everything else as is. Carrying over the Trebuchet between rounds was a bit cheesy and hard to disrupt but the damage output never felt unfair to me.

I've been fiddling around with Skellige this morning and I've come up with a deck which I call "I am D-Bomb". Basically, the plan is to play no buffing or debuffing but lots of deck thinning and card draw to make sure you can always play Dimeritium Bomb as the last card of the match. I'm still missing some cards so there are some funny looking choices, but I've been having some good success with it. Gwentify is being a pain right now, though, so I'll just post a text version of what I'm playing:

Melee = 3x Queensguard, 3x Clan an Craite Raider, Eskel, Lambert, Vesemir, Geralt
Ranged = 3x Clan Dimun Pirate, Triss Merigold
Siege = 3x Priestess of Freya, 3x Light Longship, Svanrige, Johnny, Ermion
Special = Dimeritum Bomb, Birna Bran
Leader = Crach an Craite

Ideal opening hand has exactly one Witcher unit and one Clan Dimun Pirate so you can put 25 power on the board and remove four cards from your deck. The goal is not to win the first round, but to gain a card advantage with the Witchers and play into the third where the Skellige units are the most powerful. Save all the Priestesses for the third round if possible and just hold onto that advantage until your opponents expends all his buffs. D-Bomb is game over. Lots of weather resistant units for the monster matchup, as well. The Johnny is going to become Sigrdrifa once I get 200 scraps and I'll eventually wants Cerys in place of Geralt. I'm sure that copy of Triss could be something else, but I haven't done enough looking yet to see what's out there. Probably Ciri since she's another good card in the "lose first round to gain card advantage" strategy.

Obviously I'm just building with the cards that I have, but I've been enjoying it so far.

Quick deck tech and gameplay for "I'm D-Bomb" for anyone interested. I changed the Johnny to Holger Blackhand because putting cards back into my deck is counterintuitive to the deck's strategy. Then after this was recorded I opened a Donar an Hindar and he's occupying that slot now. Still waiting on scraps for Sigrdrifa.

So let's talk about Sabrina Glevisseg. I got absolutely destroyed twice in a row by a guy playing this card. He was using Radovid as his leader so that he could blow it up on-demand, and he was also using Operator to make a second copy of it. In the first game, he did the Operator trick and put two Sabrinas on my side, so when he blew up the first one it proceeded to blow up the second one and wreck my entire board. The Sabrina he gave me was just an extra three power for him. In the second game, he used Sabrina into Philippa into Radovid to completely annihilate an entire row of mine. Sick stuff.

He had a ridiculous deck from top to bottom, though, With Igni, Shani, Ves, Prince Stennis, etc. But he obviously knew how to build a deck and crafted everything he needed for it.

Yeah, that's a heck of a combo. Some of his card choices seem bad (like the rando Swallow potion), but Operator/Phillipa/Sabrina is certainly an interesting trick. Igni is good, but I dunno if it's that good for a gold card.

Igni is a one-sided targeted Scorch that adds at least 6 power to your board. One of the best cards in the game.

Radovid to blow up Sabrina is so cool. I was secretly plotting Stammelford's Tremors plus Harald the Cripple and now I don't want to do that anymore!

Oh yeah, I forgot it had a 6 power body itself. Yes, that's good

Please help me follow this. Keep in mind I don't run Northern Realms so I don't know every card. Appears like some kind of Operator combo?

Operator is used for copying margarita. He is played first time normally, then second time through decoy, then revived in the next round with medic, you now have 4 margaritas in hand.
Then just use henselt's ability and 3 promotes, watch a literally 15 minute long spawning of Ban Ard adepts.

even with 6 margaritas this thread isn't anymore interesting
