No problem guys. Hopefully this will be a good stepping stone into setting up a PBP community here. Serve as a good example of posting both OOC and IC. A real game teaches more people than an FAQ after all.

Just remember I'm a little bit new to 4E so if I make a mistake just shoot me a PM or mention it here and it will be corrected ASAP.

Also if you dont feel like a bunch of typing BH works perfectly fine.

If the modules I'm running go smoothly I may step into setting up a homebrew world and campaign. I'm getting pretty decent at making maps as well. And as I learn more about 4E I'll be opening up to more books.

You guys can feel free to come up with a nickname to call my character. His real name is Joar, but he doesn't know that (his name, along with the rest of his memory, was wiped clean by the Raven Queen). The idea is that he is called Tombstone by people who know of him but don't know him personally, in the same way that Frank Castle is referred to as the Punisher by pretty much anyone other than people close to him. So the rest of you want call him whatever you want (come to some kind of consensus).

Working on that character sheet. Will be done shortly.

Also, apparently half of us are Raven Queen Worshipers. Cool.

I'll be using bold black for NPC speech, so I'd prefer something else.

So what is it you want the group to call you then? If Tombstone is for people that dont know him personally? Dont go making naming your character a chore for the others.

But the idea is that they started calling him that of their own volition, not because he instructed them to address him as such.

He doesn't know his name and has never needed to bother with one until joining this group.

Right. I understand that. I'm just saying as a player don't make a backstory that forces other players to essentially 'write a backstory' for you. As a courtesy.

I'm fine with him not knowing his name, or caring what it was... just dont want the other players having to waste time coming up with nickname for your char instead of fleshing out their own.

If 7'2" is huge, then yes he is.

As far as his personality goes... Are you familiar with the Silver Surfer? Like that.

It's not that he doesn't care what his name is, he just doesn't know. He'd love to know who he was.

His backstory is that he made a deal with the Raven Queen to save his village that was otherwise going to be destroyed long ago. The deal: he would serve her and deliver to her cold grasp an equal number of lives that this deal has saved. She took his memory from him so that he wouldn't have personal attachments that would get in the way of his mission as her herald. He prefers to go after evil people that deserve to die to fulfill this quest, though has on occasion bent this rule (The Raven Queen cares not for the alignment of the lives he delivers). He has only a vague idea of what his former life was, but he knows of the importance of his quest and that he is doing it for his loved ones, even though he can't remember them. If he kills someone who has somehow cheated death through unnatural means The Raven Queen counts that as equivalent to 5 lives instead of one. Currently he is somewhere around the 3,500 mark, though he has honestly lost count. His village had roughly 5,000 people.

Well... as long as unlike the silver surfer he actually has a personality.

It helps to have some actual characters in the group and not just a walking spaceholder with a sword that rolls dice!!

I should have a true backstory thrown together sometime by tommorow.
