I get you to two when I'm on the draw but your tokens save you and you eventually win. On the play I'm too fast for your Mayor to even flip since I play Lotus every turn.
Me vs. Aaarrrgh

I'd like to point out that Yasova will be a 5/3 after you steal the first Mayor, so that attack actually gets Aaarrrgh down to 8. And if Aaarrrgh swings he'd deal 2 damage, not 1. But that's irrelevant because if Aaarrrgh attacks after playing his second Mayor, you just steal the untapped one and attack for 9 unblocked.

But essentially, I am confirming that Valkir wins on the play.

Ah...good points...I wonder if that changes the math when I'm on the draw?

Edit: I think it does. I think I win on the draw too...
Spoiler

Just read Jim's input...forgot Yas can't steal 4+ and Mayor's pump each other.

I think you still lose on the draw.

If Pos attacks with Yasova, either no-blocks and Aaarrrgh goes to 4, or Aaarrrgh blocks, loses a Mayor, and the other one goes to 3/3 and stealable after yasova gets recast, which it will, next turn. In fact, next turn both Lotus and Yasova are being recast, which means the surviving mayor is transforming back to humanside. And the turn after Yasova can fire ability.

Aaarrrgh may yet win, but it isn't demonstrably over at the point at which there are 2 4/4s against a 4/2 because the 4/2 can still attack for benefit (either 4 damage, or killing something permanently while only dying temporarily). Just whether it can sustain enough to win is hard to map out.

Cause who would block with 4/4 tokens...:V

Also, Yasova wouldn't be able to steal the mayors again, because they transform during the upkeep. Aaarrrgh isn't casting any more spells so transforming them just prevents tokens after the first two.

Edit: Actually, I may have misread what you were saying. Nevermind.

There are no tokens at the point I suggested Yasova attack. Just 2 4/4 Alphas. One of two things happens:

1. One Alpha blocks and mutually dies with Yasova. The other Alpha gets smaller because it's no longer being boosted by the now-dead alpha, and after Yasova comes back next turn she could steal that Alpha the turn after.

or

2. Yasova goes unblocked and Aaarrrgh goes to 4. This does look like it results in Aaarrrgh getting enough tokens to survive it out and never taking that last 4 points of damage, but it was a branch of the playdown worth mentioning.

Yeah, I completely forgot that Yasova would just come back.

What a terrible round...so many "if I go first I win" decks...probably should have left turn 0 disruption in to mitigate that...

Yup. I quickly realized that there was so much T1 shutdown and no real disruption for that, I best try to run an option play that almost always wins on the play but can sneak a few on the draw too. Was surprised nobody played big fast mana - with double stroke doubling on Seething Song we could have had hard cast 10-drops (I looked at Desolation Twin). Double stroke on Mansmorphose enables casting any Bringer.

There was also the first banned deck I thought of, using double stroke on Blazing Shoal (+ Progenitus) to give a creature +20 power... But would be illegal on t1 Chorge token and too fragile any other way.

My Weight Advantage deck was : Goldnight Castigator, Sheltered Valley, Black Lotus because I thought it would be fun :P. I think it would have got 22 pts.

If I did my figuring right, we now have a 4-way tie. Funtimes.

Edit: I went ahead and calculated out a few other lines (didn't fill them in, just calculated them). I'm pretty sure someone else (who will remain nameless until you figure out their line for yourself :incognito: ) pulls ahead of the 27-point mark, so it's just gonna be a BUNCH of something-place finishers.

Everyone gets a 3 against everyone else. :V

Or a 2. But it has to be everyone gets the same score against everyone else.

If I wasn't going for a grand prize this season, I would've played Weight Advantage, Black Lotus, Shuko, Daru Spiritualist.

I believe that would have gotten 4+3+6+3+6+0+0+6 = 28 points, which is actually a lot higher than I expected. That beats all the people tied at 27.

I replicated the sheet and I show two people above 27, three at 27 and the rest below.
