Yeah, that's to be expected. Oh, Gruff, we hardly knew ye.

Raiker Venn seeks to prolong that ****'s life, and that **** plans to do this by enlisting Lukas Harran's help.

This is a chilling possibility. Based on what we saw of Lukas last time, I can't say he wouldn't make a deal...

The Magician Nasperge is drunk, and decides to give an Aubedore reading to a Smiling Horror.

Nasperge draws the Lovers (inverted), the Healer (inverted), and the Giant, and declares his reading perfect.

I can't help but picture a Grinning Demon sitting across the table from Nasperge, just listening patiently to the Magician's slurred reading.

Here you go, Tevish. New idea for you.

I literally got these two prompts back to back.

Mari Gwynn wanders drunkenly into Aldis. There she seeks revenge upon Jade. After the experience, she is left suffering from a polymorphist's twisted sense of humor and is now a frog!

And this is pretty much guaranteed to be the greatest story ever told.

Oh, thanks for reminding me that this is a thing, Raven -- I haven't done one of these in ages!

Let's spin the wheel, shall we? :D

Quote:
Clade has gone missing, and now Ellia the Endbringer goes in search of him. The search takes Ellia from the continent of Corondor to The Celestial Realm and finally to Bolas's Meditation Plane, where she finds that Clade is attempting to uncover the secrets of how to bathe a Cyclops Spellshaper.

Well, I would have lost money betting about that conclusion.

Good to see that the Generator still has it out for Beryl...

Quote:
The paths of fate have converged and the Eightfold Lotus trades information with Kimberley Talon because of the machinations of Raiker Venn.

Plausible, and troubling!

Quote:
Lumina Revelaris arrives unexpectedly on Dammerdall.

That actually seems like a really intriguing premise...

Quote:
Penelophine planeswalks to Dammerdall.

Ooo -- the plot thickens!

Quote:
Morgan of Voor arrives unexpectedly on Shandrovol.

Combo breaker.

Quote:
Lumina Revelaris wants to learn about philosophy, and so joins forces with Denner Fabellian. However, Denner is suffering from a nyxborn viper's bite, and will only help Lumina if she goes to Zent to see Morgan of Voor about a cure. Morgan knows about the cure, but will only give it to Lumina if she can locate the Amulet of the Planeswalkers. Lumina searches for it on Janhapurh, but only finds a pentavite. At this point, Lumina gives up on this side quest.

Man, Denner just can't catch a break.

For the spokes, he draws the Peak, the Snake, the Ring (inverted), and the Anvil.

At the Crossroads, he lays the Lost (inverted) vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Spider, which is horizontal.

Lady Nasina tells Nasperge he's crazy, but she can't help but wonder...

I feel like I just read this? :)

Quote:
The Hands of Light and Shadow has resurfaced from the depths of history, and now Morgezka Shanak planeswalks to Regatha in search of it. Can she get to it before Denner Fabellian?

Probably not?

Quote:
Alessa Rehn chases Donagut to Dammerdall. Upon landing on Dammerdall, she joins forces with the other 'Walker.

Man, it is getting crowded over there!

Quote:
Aloise Hartley arrives unexpectedly on Adrisar.

Doesn't she know the party's on Dammerdall?

Quote:
Ygraine of Segovia finds herself in command of a very strange army comprised of Thalakoss, Ogre Archers, Horror Snow Rhino Berserkers, and even Goblins.

Hey, goblins aren't allowed!

Quote:

This actually seems like an improvement for Denner, compared to the usual.

Quote:
Due to a slight miscalculation, Gale was attacked by Raleris, the Lorekeeper. Now, Gale is seeking revenge.

There's something kind of delightful about how implausible this is.

Quote:
In a massive blizzard, Rishima, Queen of the Black Sands saves Chardis of the Dual-Walkers's life. This results in a short-lived romantic liaison between the two.

Love hurts.

Quote:
After an unfortunate incident, Lady Nasina is suffering from a polymorphist's twisted sense of humor and is now a frog. Now, she has to travel to Solphos in search of Kirsh of the Flats in the desperate hope that he can help.

Wait... she was the frog all along?

*INCEPTION NOISE*

Quote:
On a whim, Gale saves Blink's life.

Quote:
Lady Nasina travels to Thorneau.

Also weirdly plausible?

Quote:
The Eightfold Lotus planeswalks to the continent of Jamuraa. There, he is deceived by Beryl, the Heart-Scarred.

He shouldn't have bet her that she couldn't walk across the coals.

Quote:

She might like that, actually?

Thanks!

It sort of gives me a really dark image of Gale lying in her hammock at night, just about to fall asleep, as she imagines all the disturbing things she would do to Blink if she ever gets her hands on her.

Gale Thinks:

I had laughed for several minutes at that prompt. Clearly, I do not have Raven's writing instincts.

I'm intrigued by the thought of what it would take to get Gale to that point, though. Clearly, she's had some experience planeswalking by then, and knows what (and where) an ætherstorm is. She has also started to take a more active role, and either she or Blink has been deliberately seeking the other. It almost seems like Gale planned this as a trap, except that she wouldn't have endangered the rest of the crew if she could help it.

For the spokes, she draws the Crow (inverted), the Teacher, the Sufferer (inverted), and the Magician (inverted).

At the Crossroads, she lays the Unicorn (inverted) vertically as the destination, under the fate card of the Fairy (inverted), which is horizontal.

Morgezka Shanak orders a stiff drink.

Morgezka: You expect me to talk to those two? You're as bad as the other guy.

However, the challenges facing the new hero may prove more than she can handle, and Mari must go find allies such as Morgezka Shanak and a planar native But will the power of The Darkmantle be strong enough to give them all powers?

Alessa: No, it's more likely that the unicorn finds you.

At least some parts of that make a surprising amount of sense. Is the generator actually psychic?

No story is impossible!

Okay, well, some are. But still, I enjoy thinking of these sort of sideways approaches to stories that seem improbable on the surface. It's probably the same impulse of mine that led to my writing "Cromat Comes" and stories of that ilk. When people suggest to me that a story just can't be done, or that I can't pull it off, more often than not, I feel the need to prove them wrong...

:D

But yes, I picture this as some story in a possible future for Gale, where she has learned more of what it means to be a planeswalker, and, presumably, she has run across Blink in some further capacity. In terms of how they both got on that ship at the time, I confess I didn't think much about it. I don't think Gale would have set it up as a trap, because as you said, Gale would never give up her crew like that. Maybe Blink was a stowaway on the ship? Maybe Gale caused her trouble back in town, almost getting her caught by the authorities, but she escaped, then hid on Gale's ship to silence her? I don't know. Could be any number of things, I suppose!

No, the generator isn't, but Aubedore cards are...

This seems strangely plausible. There are already connections between the characters, and it's even set on the correct plane!

There, they both witness a strange event as Raiker Venn arrives on Adrisar, in the possession of the artifact known as Nevinyrral's Disk. . Welcome to the plane of Yhuwozju. It is a massive plane that is made up of masses of land floating in the air, and its land is highly varied.

It is an utopian place, with a single world government ruling over a united, homogenized culture.

The plane's intelligent races are as diverse as Dominaria or Ravnica. Merfolk , elves, minotaurs, rat folk, humans, vedalken, prax (batfolk), insect folk, amphin (slamander folk), apes, viashino, faeries, loxodon, orochi, and centaurs, are all found here.

The plane's iconic creatures include Angels, Krakens, Wurms, Demons, and Phoenix.

Raleris needs help interpreting an ancient scroll, and Ilyta is the only person who can help. Which is unfortunate since Ilyta attempts to apprehend and bring to justice Daneera.

This is actually strangely plausible. I mean, not so much the "bring to justice" thing, but Ilyta could certainly help interpret an ancient scroll, and considering Daneera comes from a dying plane, I could definitely see Ilyta trying to find her.

Things have gone poorly, and it seems to be Antine's darkest hour. But then, suddenly and out of nowhere, Huinn, Last of the Darkwings arrives! He comforts Antine, and things start to seem better for him. Together, Antine and Huinn head off to explore Zent.

The shifter put him up to it when he tried the trick on him.

I'll admit, I'm disappointed we've yet to hit a prompy with both Maral and Ygraine in it.

Vasilias, Lord of Ariva has grown suspicious of Aloise Hartley and follows the other 'walker to Kamigawa. But it was all just Vasilias's surprise birthday party.

Why does this feel so... Aloise?

Lukas Harran has grown suspicious of Dantalion and follows the other 'walker to the continent Braeidje. There, Raiker Venn attacks both of them, revealing the true manipulation.

Leaving this one here

The paths of fate have converged and Tryst interrupts a battle between Maral, Celestial Wright and Lourima Viiran because of the machinations of Illarion Vale.

We've... talked about the what-if of Tryst having met Illarion, and breaking up a fight between two powerful, opposed, and probably sympathetic-to-Illarion individuals seems like a goal he might have?

Nasperge chases Ilyta to Zent. Upon landing on Zent, he gets entangled in a hilarious romantic folly with the other 'Walker.

Past and future, eh? This... I almost want this to be a thing.

After overhearing a bizarre rumor, Ilyria the Accursed decides to search for a mysterious treasure on Innistrad. For the sake of safety, Ilyria decides to travel alone. After a long and eventful adventure, she finally reaches a seemingly innocent little town. After hours of searching, she finds her treasure! Triumphantly, Ilyria raises a magic scroll over her head!

Ilyria does most things alone for the sake of safety these days. And with her luck it's the original, pre-emrakul-edits version of Tamiyo's iron scroll, and she sets it off on accident.

Raiker Venn regales a planar native on Arbagoth with stories of that ****'s youth...in bed...with chains.

I'm seeing a story where a super-fan gets far more than they bargained for. Call it "Captive Audience".

Illarion Vale begins traveling with Ellia the Endbringer. But when Ellia the Endbringer crosses the path of Zhiran, Illarion is forced to planeswalk to Arbagoth.

Ooh, that one would have worked.

After an unfortunate incident, Ygraine of Segovia is suffering from mana color inversion. Now, she has to travel to Helkavin in search of Sri Hara in the desperate hope that he can help.

How do you invert a wedge, anyway?

Illarion Vale converses with Morgan of Voor on Aralheim.

Deleted scene time! A conversation along these lines was in brainstorming for Wedding pretty late but fell to the wayside in part because of Marina getting more PoV.
Illarion: So, you've been chatting with Raleris a lot lately?
Morgan: Yeah, he's teaching me a new spell
Illarion: Oooh, exciting! Is it Pursuit of Knowledge? Timetwister? Barrin's Obliterate?!
Morgan: ... Artifact Ward.
Illarion:
