Hah, what a joke. Complaints from WotC that all their users left, maybe. That's exactly the kind of contextless modding that pissed so many people off. No explanation, just a vague one liner and a lock with no room for discussion.

I'm sure the complaints were wizards people wondering where the players are!

Good - less chance of certain people finding their way here. I don't want to see 10 page debates on why Plague Wind is a good card, or any "ironic" racism or sexism.

That, makes me laugh. You're likely correct, discussing moderation over there was a ban-able offense.
Compared to over here, where there's mod created threads asking for people to discuss moderation...you know, like it should be...

As with their card game, if Wizards don't want people creating alternatives, they need to just be better at doing it themselves. The old forum was like a farking GeoCities pages from 1999. It's especially hilarious since BBCode forums have existed for like, 12 years (at least) but I guess they thought it would be more professional to design their own system, even if it's terrible.

Do I still go to the old forum. Sure. It's about a 50/50 split at the moment. When I first joined here I spent a lot more time on the Wizards forum, and now, like I said, it's about a 50/50 split. I just checked the Wizards forum and it's mostly just people bitching about stuff so as time goes by I'll probably find myself just visiting here more.

I'm not worried about the ORCs, but then again, I've had nothing to do with them. If Mister P can get his deck editor to work on here then that would be another huge step towards me migrating here completely. Functionally I like this forum a little better, but aesthetically Wizards' forum is more pleasing to the eye, sorry to say. That might not be at all important to some people I realise, but I'm the sort of person who takes card art into consideration when evaluating cards, hehe.

Long story short, I'm sure I'm going to be spending more time here. This place functions better, the content is more on topic and the people are more amicable. I'm usually pretty slow to embrace change, so that's why it's taken me a while to move here, but I think you've hooked me now. That's just my personal migration story.

IMO, this forum is more pleasing to the eye, but that is just a matter of opinion. Also, Mr. P's editor works just fine on this forum and he is working with the moderators to make it even better (tailored to this forum).

I can honestly say, you are the first person I've seen say that...

Actually - someone would have to report it, since we know the ORC's don't actually look at the forum...
