For what it's worth, I think you are out of your gourd for thinking you have to walk on eggshells around here, much less for this story. By all that's holy, you've written a story with an actual rape scene, why did you think this was going to be your undoing?

I like the story, and I didn't have any problems with the issues you were concerned with (apart from brief concerns that the vine mass was going to impersonate the Tree from Evil Dead). There were several typos I spotted but didn't jot down (because I'm pretty much out of free time right now) but one more proofreading pass should fix those up, and as for the story itself, I'm voting Yea. I'll be interested in seeing if this winds up contributing to the Big Adrisar Plot, or remains more of a one-off. Either way, good read.
