Ever since the spoilers for Kaladesh started coming in, I really wanted to make a haste deck and see if we can get something popping. This is where I'm at so far: :plot:

2 x Bomat Courier

3 x Brazen Scourge
2 x Fleetwheel Cruiser

2 x Impetuous Devils
2 x Voldaren Duelist
2 x Reality Smasher

1 x Chandra, Torch of Defiance

Seems decent to me; of course testing will prove otherwise. Anything suggestions for the lands? There's 10 sources of for this deck and only 4 cards will benefit from it so that might be too many, but at the same time, I want to be able to cast Reality Smasher on time when I draw it. I'm going with 25 lands so that I can cast Chandra, Flamecaller easily, aswell as have many to sink into Akoum Firebird when I have no other plays.

What type of suggestion do y'all have? :party:

Building with a theme is cute, but do you really have to run bad cads like Ember-Eye Wolf, Geier Reach Bandit and Voldaren Duelist? Can't you just replace those with some burn and call it a day?

Plus the theme is nice, but I don't see a huge benefit in being dedicated to it as opposed to just being RDW.

At the very least, I'd add the Firecraft and Fiery Temper package.

I'm working on my own build but not so haste orientated, more of a Thopter thing.

Btw, the 3/2 flying hasty thopter is better than the Voldaren duelist, because it has evasion for the same cmc.

I'm not convinced about lathnu hellion either. Especially if you don't run other energy cards. Seems like a chump til you run out of energy card.

At least in the Gruul energy deck, Hellion has been An incredible mvp.
The Massive hasted body that really requires your opponent to have top tier removal for him or take huge chunks of damage is amazing.
Gruul's curve Starts at 2; if you disregard the 3 prowlers. Monored can be even More agressive. Having 2 Hellion is mandatory imo, even if you have 0 other energy cards. On the play, only grasp if darkness deals with this Card truly, that's it.
If your curve starts At 1, they gonna take 4 almost always (that's a firecraft) and then Trade for a removal spell ( now it's significantly better than a firecraft). If they can t deal with it you deal 8 for 3 mana. That's eternal magic territory.

I'm not a fan if this list, but trust me that Hellion is where you wanna be.

I'll try it out, but I really think it needs trample. But sure, I can see it catching an opponent off-guard and taking out some big chunks of their life total. But late-game its not so great, especially on a stalled board. And with all the Thopters that should be appearing, there'll no lack of chumpers...

I plan to overhaul a few things in this decklist once I put it together and test it; this is my basis starter. I do need to add some more burn in here; it's just the question of what to cut per-say; we could also use some more trample in here too.

I lowered the curve a bit by replacing big chandra with Skysovereign.

Also removed wolves, scourges, duelists, collective defiance, titans strength, 1 dragster, 2 lands....netting 17 cards

Added
3 blood mist
2 copters
4 fiery tempers
2 firecraft
3 harnessed lightning
2 engineers
2 henwier garrisons (also switched out some mana for battlements)

Actually performs very well!
