Certainly says they use a different deck each time, which means it is mandatory.

And I assume they need to be actual different decks, not just a deck with one or two card variations

like I have two Jund decks. One is clearly a walker deck, the other is delirium but has walkers in it. I consider them very different but they share many cards. I think I should be allowed to play both if the spirit should move me to

So, 2 and 3 seeds play a 5 game match with the same deck throughout. Normal match, but best of 5.

In the final match, you play a different deck each game. Barney has the right idea on this. Similar decks are fine, but just subbing 2 cards in isn't really a different deck. The two participants can use their discretion on those choices.

and if someone suspects someone is playing the same deck, they can ask for decklists and I'm happy to provide them (I rip all my decks from you guys anyway so if you two of you have built similar decks, it's YOUR fault

once again Pure, I can't say it enough, you really found the perfect way to do basic casual league play on this site. Big congratulations. lots of people have tried different things over the years and NOTHING has worked like this has.

On a side note to immortal above, I agree, but you want to get these matches done before the new set drops, and it takes extra time to pick 5 decks twice. That and it would, to an extent, give Vert extra advantage in the final.

As far as next season's opening, I'm going to defer to Hakeem for the right to challenge first. I think that one of nga's most prolific streamers Vs. the first Overlord will be a great match to get us started with the new cards. The people who were on the list will be carried over to start the new season.

Ok, well I'm outta town this weekend for a funeral. I'll be back Monday. I have to play Gemini for my final 4 match and for this haha! That punk better not play the same deck haha!
