Kraas, I think that's 1pm (13h) my time, I'm at work so that won't work. The earliest I can play is 8pm which is 2am your time. So if this keeps up, we won't be able to play until Saturday because of the time difference (assuming you work normal hours)

the absolute earliest I could play is 7pmest which is 1am your time which is no good since you have to get up in 4 hours.

I think you earned your crown and should keep it until someone knocks it off. In fact it's all the more reason to knock it off since it's going to slow down the action. Your weekend should be full of challengers

Ok so per the OP and for continuity, the crown reverts back to Infamousgemini, the previous king. Kraas can get in at #1 on the list when he's ready (after at least 1 match is played).

Gemini, vert is already skipped until tomorrow since he is busy. Sooo Barney is up! Or whoever keep going down the list if you need since b day is coming. Happy preemptive birthday, Barney!

Separately, since kraas has won the crown, I move that when he plays as challenger a win will count toward his wins as king in his first match back. Is that agreeable? That way we keep continuity but don't penalize getting busy or timezones any more than necessary to keep this thing moving.

One last update...

Looks like kaladesh drops September 29. The cutoff for matches will be the end of sep 22, Hawaii time . At this point, anyone can still get in with just 3 straight wins, the 1st. being as a challenger. Even if you can't, come play spoiler anyway!

The new season will start 3 days after release. I'm hoping this will be a great showcase for new decks ahead of the next season of Kryder's tournament, and a way to get some competitive games in beforehand.

If anyone has suggestions about the format or rules, etc... please post them.

This season is for bragging rights, but next season I'll try to come up with a prize for Overlord, regular season champ, and longest streak, I think.

We need time for 2 matches of 5 games. Not only that, but the finals requires 5 different decks, which will require some extra thought. Definitely want to be done by the time the new set comes out to allow brewing before the new season as well as a few days for ppl to sign up again.

thanks for organizing this, Pure. It was a really fun casual league-like way to play the game competitively. I really like playing against Vert and Gem outside of tournament settings, it's fun.
