Are we posting deck lists? I'm probably going to be picking some of my favorite net decks that I feel are underrepresented on IoS. Wouldn't want to bring my jank to a clash of kings

Seriously though. That is the deck I would like to have against you but my deck is a GW humans deck. Sorry I don't have a listing. I made it myself to quickly climb to 40. I can't write it now as I'm working this Sunday on a migration so I don't have time but I'm sure you can imagine most cards. I'd assume that people run something similar. I will post it ASAP.
That's why I said that I feel I will be "smoked" as so much burn is going to kill all my creatures and I only have 2 enchantment hate so I will struggle against your deck. It is a very bad pairing for my deck. One of the worse ones.

I just sent you a PM for the match. I can do anytime as soon as I end work, which is going be around 9ish PM as I work from home today. So from 9PM UK time onwards until as late as needed.

I just thought decklists would be a good way of sharing content since streaming isn't so easy for the ios crowd. I wouldn't share what I'm playing until after the match, though.

Would agree post a link but after the match. I guess as stated between matches a reigning king can change decks but it would hardly seem fair to be counter decked in advance. Agree it's useful to see the kingmaker decks in particular as it will kind of be a lens on what is strong but of course a nod to the player (pilot) as well as the deck.

Also a challenger may not necessarily want his deck published before match as its info for the King in advance of the match but less of an issue than the deck to beat being public.

Yes. I was thinking about changing my deck but as Altashheth published his in advance, it didn't feel quite right as I couldn't help but countering it to some extent.
On the other hand that did put me in the slightly odd spot of sticking to a deck that actually is a fairly poor match against his.

Still, I really don't mind much as this is just a game. But yes please, in the future let's not publish our decks in advance to avoid these conundrums.

On the other hand, it feels a bit weird to be swapping decks during the tourney. I kind of like the idea to stick with yours all the time... I'm going to need to fine-tune a few different decks now and I don't have that much free time! There is always net-decking though...

Given the way the meta works and it's essentially a perpetual tournament (though Kings will be confirmed just before the new block release) it would not work if you mandated a fixed deck as all decks irrespective of how strong they are have a nemesis.

As a King however can decide which deck is used for each match he can always change it so run control in one, aggro the next and mid range the next etc. It will also keep matches fresh, in particular if being recorded.

One great thing about magic in general and it applies to duels and in a lot of ways more so after SOI / EMN landed that there is a change in what top tier decks are, some will be persistently strong for a while of course but some will change after the new block. Variety is the spice of MtG.

I think it fair that players can wait in general for their match in the event of a delay for current challenger. If it's likely to be longer hopefully a challenger can post so that next in line can be played. Likewise if current King get's over delayed a quick post can let the challenger know. SD

I've no problems if you'd like to change decks.... I assumed we were publishing but that is mine own fault..... Speaking of which I was just practising with my deck when I noticed that I cast 4 Alms.... So I double checked my actual list and realised that at some point I'd switched an impulse for an alms and a swamp for an island.... I've edited the form decklist to reflect the actual list....

And it is not fault at all. It is quite usual that tournaments require to send the deck list in advance so it would have made sense to do it by default. It wasn't perfectly clear at the point you sent it.

Yes, to be honest for me it would be ideal from 9PM or 9:30PM onwards but if it doesn't work for you then I can acommodate and play around 8ish. I will still be working for a while this evening. I will also try to post my full deck at least 30 mins before the match so you can see it beforehand. It might be tricky as it is going to be a long working afternoon...
