And it is. Mown is RIP, and the last remaining survivors, our winners, are Rubik, Shockwave07, Hello World, and Ragnarokio!
Now that it's over, let's open up discussion. Design document is as follows:
Spoiler
3 Fascists: -Fuhrer: One night per game, you may choose up to two other players. Those players gain 1 shot night kills during the next night. Must suicide if the game ends without elimination of the communists. KoD
National Socialist: Also a communist. Knows Fuhrer’s identity. Additionally, has access to a sockpuppet account.
-General Relativist: Once per night, you may PM me the names of any number of players, including dead players, but not including yourself. Then, I will tell you how many total factions are represented within that set of players. Niklor
3 Communists
National Socialist: see above
-Secret Police wiretapper: Gets copies of every PM sent to me. Includes PMs through non-NGA platforms. Fable
-Reverse Engineer: Whenever a player successfully uses a targeted power on you, that power will do nothing. Then, you gain all of that player’s powers until the end of the next night. Rag
3 Democrats
-Secret Agent: Can investigate one player every night to determine their faction and role. 15377
-Patriotism Investigator: At the end of each day, you’re told which, if any, players, including yourself, chose to vote for players who shared 1 or more factions with them. Zinger
-Coupeur d’etats: One night per game, you may choose 2 other players. The first player is killed, and the second player gains that player’s role (but not faction) permanently, losing their previous role in the process. Mown
2 Monarchy
-Battlefield Scout: Knows which roles are on which factions. Shockwave
-Oppressive Tyrant: Once per night, you may choose to oppress any player. Their vote isn’t counted during the next day, and any actions they take during the next night fail (If they can only use an action a limited amount of times per game, this counts as a use). The player is not told that they are oppressed. You may not oppress the same player more than once per game. Rubik
1 Carthage
-Hannibal: Knows everyone’s factions and roles Neosilk
1 Factionless -Arms Dealer: Hand of the market: your vote counts for double. At the end of the game, must commit suicide unless 8 or more players were killed. Hello World
The biggest problem with EM2 was that all the information got around so quickly. There was a flurry of PMs, and then everyone knew everything. That said, day 1 seemed to have a lot of intrigue, and I'm pretty proud of how that played out, even if things did peter out near the end.
Anything you all would like to add?

At the end of the first day, the communists allied with the monarchs. During day 2, the fascists also thought they were allied with the communists. This is the reason the democrats had trouble forming a bloc with anyone. When fable died, hello world essentially replaced him, although he'd been loosely affiliated with us for a while by that point. The game went very straight-forwardly besides neo shooting fable. Our bloc formed on the second day and dominated every single day.

I'll admit, even though my role didn't come with any powers, the pr and faction list was more than powerful enough in its own right. It gave me an early bargaining chip, information.
It also made it easy to out liars.
So next game, as much as I enjoyed wielding the power, I don't think my role should exist again in a multiple man faction. Leaves a bit of mystery next time. --------- About the play, Day 1 was a rush to solve who was who for me. The more I knew, the more information I could dole out as the situation needed.
The alliance with Rag and Fable was unexpected, almost thought it was going to be KoD and his unknown loyal teammate (Niklor) who we'd align with at first. But then he outed himself to Mown and didn't give either Rubik or myself a gun. Considered Fascist/Monarch alliance dead at that point.
From there it was a slow approach at staying out of sites of Day 2 guns, keeping more from being given, and riding the game to its end, hoping for no surprises along the way.
Either way, enjoyed it. All 100 PMs received, ??? Sent, and our 150 post QT.
Love it when a plan comes together, this is the exact outcome I had envisioned.
Yeah went to the monarchs like 10 minutes after dissolving the alliance with the democrats, HW really played up that we would be powerful together specially my power teamed up with shocks. Zinger going on and on about how I just had to have gone with the fascists had me rolling.

Niklor will play against his win condition to kill KoD.

And here I thought Rag would be the one to do anything to get revenge.

ExLight hahaha stares at KoD
Zinger209908 you are in a better position than you were before KoD saved you from yourselves you should thank him before he kills himself with his hail marry here
funnier6 Also for goodness sake you know KoD could argue until he had sucked all the air in the room and was suffocating on the floor
shadowamber you gotta admit the bus gifs were kinda funny though
The game was seriously stacked against me, and I never actually got around to using my special ability, but I had fun anyway. I really feel like the game was solved too quickly. And with me being in a different time zone, most of the solving happened before I had a chance to start playing. But that's life, I guess.
Now that this poll is officially over, it's time to congratulate Aaarrrgh for designing Hill, which has been decided by popular vote to be the Card of the Month for October 2013!
Well, I was planning to fake a betrayal and get rag lynched before switching back to the monarchs/communist alliance, but nobody told me that the guns were 1 night only, so I didn't bother convincing the know neutral to not shot...
After that I had nothing to do but wait and ensure that neo died early just in case he didn't count for a faction.
My day 1 was fable contacting me and letting me know he knew I was unaffiliated, I correctly guessed his role and asked for a cat picture to the mod.
So we attempted an alliance(I told him that I was willing to ally with him but there might be some complications) and he sent me to find and kill the monarchs.
I contacted rubic pretending to be a monarch but I dropped the act early when he told me another monarch told him that there were only 2 monarchs, so I knew I should have allied with them.
Fable also told me that shock claimed monarch so I contacted him and talked to him, he proposed an alliance and after he hinted at his role I told him I was in contact with the player that had access to pms and told him who I was.
Near the end of day 1 I had a short dialogue with kod and he decided to give me the gun, fable then told me who had the other one.
Then day two I asked fable which other player of our alliance he would prefer seeing dead, he said himself, so I decided to go rogue day 3 and get rag lynched instead, but that didn't happen due to neo.
1) Fable's ability seems like a terrible idea. Not only does it discourage players from asking for rules clarifications, in further games people are going to be incentivized to send you random or misleading information. 2) I don't think any roles should have all the game information, which is effectively what Shockwave's and NeoSilk's ability does. If you don't want information to spread too fast, don't give all of it to players at the start.
The way I see it I didn't lose, as long as Rag made it to the end of the game I was happy. Of course I had planned to make it to the end too but when HW made his win condition clear to me I was willing to sacrifice myself on the grounds he stayed loyal to the communist/monarchy alliance.
I actually didn't know he was planning to go rogue had I lived to day 3 and probably would have tried to had him lynched had he tried that.
I have to say that the Fascists didn't really have a fair shot in this game. The fact that there was no way for us to win as a group basically doomed us from the start.

Your perspective on things doesn't really matter, you still objectively lost the game.
Niklor will play against his win condition to kill KoD.

I also would have played against my win condition to kill you if it was necessary. I wouldn't have been as flamboyant about that fact as niklor though, and it never became an issue anyway though, unlike with you and niklor being on the same faction.

I guess it's a good thing I had both the incentive and ability to kill KoD so niklor wouldn't have to make me really upset. On the other hand it's a bit sad that I had incentive to do it so I couldn't prove that I prioritize the game over personal feuds.
