So ive been rocking barnes shaman with every spell, thaurisan, malygos, and y'sharj. Its been working pretty well.

(Arena) I just Moat Lurkered the opponent's Troggzor, made some bad trades to keep Lurker alive, AND THEN REALIZED, I could Master of Evolution Lurker (into Prophet Velen) and get rid of Troggzor permanently. Then I completed my Total Dominance quest.

I have almost farmed a midas on rexxar.

I hated the Yogg nerf. I seem to be one of the few people to whom the whole “I was playing like SUPER SKILLFULLY and then they Yogged to clear my board, gain 50 armor and summon two 30/30 Ancient Ones” rarely happened; Yogg often put a losing player back in the game or tipped the tables in favor of its caster in close games, but that is kinda what a 10 mana card is expected to do. Now Yogg is 10 mana for a very reasonable chance of Fireballing itself and doing nothing. At least I get to craft Harrison.

Otherwise, good nerfs. Call of the Wild actually looks fair now.

when do these take effect?

The official announcement is only vaguely helpful in answering that question.

"The updated cards will arrive as a part of our 6.1.3 update, which is currently planned to go live before the Last Call events for the Hearthstone Championship Tour."

According to this, the first Last Call event is on October 8th, so we'll probably get the patch sometime next week I guess.

Yeah yogg was great and kibler had a great speech about yogg a few days ago. Basically that the huge outcry of yogg is largely because people only remember the really stupid parts of yogg when you just win the game. There was a video recently where they showed eveey single play of yogg at a major tournament and for the most part yogg didnt really do anything.

Also it costs 10 so it should probably win the game.

Seriously though, I want to note how Heartstone has basically no color pie. Will it degrade to "everyone can do anything ?" How fast ?

It does though.

I'm split on this meta. I like that most classes have playable decks, but I dislike that most of these decks have the same package (either Reno or Pirate). Though Pirates in Rogue does feel different from Pirate Warrior, the first being a warm-up for the Miracle engine instead of a full-blown face deck.

Also, Pirate Warrior is disgusting. It took me from rank 19 to rank 9 in two days and I play at most like five hours total each week and I played it mostly after waking up. What the hell.

Also, planned Standard changes. I hope they leave the basic set alone but make the classic rotating. Nerfing cards there is basically like removing them anyway, so at least we should get to play them in Wild and eventually get them back for a rotation in Standard.

Random thought of the day: did anyone else notice that Morgl talks in Murloc language except for the concede emote where you can clearly hear him say "I have been bested" exactly as the text reads? Just another sign of carelessness for the details by Blizzard, I suppose.
