Vote keeper + CL for worldbuilding leads BCP 6! (Or is it 5)

Oooh, can I be a liaison? They sound sexy. Also, I'm willing to throw in and help, though I'm not exactly that experienced on making cards. I usually just do contests and hang around posting poorly done cards.

Wait, has ChaosLight made it here yet? Lily, are you and Chaos the same person? God, this transition is so confusing...

Oh, that helps. I just keep my same name for simplicity. Though, an MUP might be fun...

You don't have to be good at making cards. You just have to be punctual, negotiable, and responsible, really. Like I've said, the community will make the cards.

Well, actually, it helps if you are a good judge of cards, but if not, you can just do public votes.

And... I'm officially feeling the buzz again. So I'm probably try to be involved in some major capacity. Bun, what are we doing about getting an article side to the forums up? I was always thinking that getting those established would mark the right time to start a new BCP up.

I can be two of the three, but my job often is at times when people are usually on, and I feel I miss the majority of the traffic by the time I get home around 10 pm here.

As for the BCP, I was thinking of doing it by dividing the set up by color, rarity, card type, and purpose. For example, an average set will probably have one common blue draw spell, one green ramp/fixing spell, and 2 small white creatures. After dividing the set up, for each slot, run a contest to fill it. Obviously, some of these contests would be run simultaneously so that the project gets finished in a reasonable timeframe. I'm thinking that each of the people running the project would run 24hour contests whenever they had time for whatever card slots happened to strike their fancy. All the cards from completed contests will be put into one big card thread, where people will be able to make suggestions on tweaks to them, and if the project leader agrees with them, the tweaks will be made. How does this sound?

You know, I think I'd like to be part of the Development team, I think it best suits the whole "I don't make good cards, but I've judged enough contests to work with those minimal skills" category of my existence on these forums.

I participated in that, but I seem to recall it died off, and people felt it was too similar to zendikar.

Wow I still remember participating in BCP4 and BCP5. I feel old. :-/

This will definitely help the site in generating new material, so I say yes. :)

If you need someone to help fill a hole in some department I would be happy to help. I've designed enough stuff at this point to demonstrate what I'm capable of (be it bad or good). Did I mention that I was the MOST NOMINATED PERSON EVER (without a win) for COTW?

I'll get to work on the set skeleton while F&S guys do worldbuilding. I nominate keeper to run worldbuilding, because he's had a lot of experience with running projects with expanded multiverse.

EDIT: after worldbuilding is done, I'll have a contest to come up with 2 mechanics, and after that we can start having contests for the card slots.

Remember that mechanics and story can both change each other as people get ideas. Nothing should be set in stone until everything is done.

Whoa, now. Let's talk about this a bit more before running off to do things that have no specific goal. We don't know the themes, the set size, our intentions for this set, how we want to run it, how long we want to run it, and so on. If we just throw stuff together haphazardly and yell "Let's do it", we'll never get to the end.

In fact, I'll just open up another thread to talk about that. This one was about registering interest, and it's definitely here. The new thread can be about discussing what exactly we want to happen. I'll write a little intro about past BCPs for a reference point and provide some links and edit it as we decide things, then we can start it up once the initial pieces are all in place. I have no qualms about other people being the driving forces for it (I didn't start as a lead on BCP6; I just hopped in when it started to fall apart), but let's at least figure some basics out first.
