Preferred Pronoun Set: I'm male, lol!
I really like Lone Rider, a lot. I'm going to be trying to break that card when the set drops. I think there will be sufficient support for it in WB, and if so I think it could be very good. It will be an odd inclusion to be sure, but if I can figure out a path that earns me sufficient life on t3 consistently, I will definitely play the card. Always watching does it, if you start with indulgent aristocrat on t1, but I'd need a few more options.

Edit: Alms of the Vein also does it, and that could be relevant in that deck. Hmmmmm...

I see it as very similar to Curious Homunculus in that regard. It's either extremely good, or totally useless, and I look forward to figuring out which.

Humunculus is on my watchlist too, it don't think the hyper aggressive prowess deck wants it, but some sort of tempo variant might be an interesting avenue to explore.

I took a beating the other day and lost a whole lot of ranks down to 30. Nothing odd there, today I was playing some builds I was testing and was more or less win 1, lose 1. Then I decided what the hell and went with the flow and built from scratch a G/W human aggro/clue deck. I didn't even test it vs. AI, I just went straight to vs. humans and started totally wrecking my opponents. Got to the max coins per day limit and called it a day...

The relevance to this thread is, if an untested, untuned G/W human deck can be so brutal pre-update, I can just imagine the headaches after with all the new toys G/W humans gets...

I completely agree. That deck has a good chance of being the Meta.

Just wondering if it'll be aggro or midrange builds that come out on top. Knowing out tourney meta and the fact that a lot of midrange/Superfriend builds just got nerfed, aggro probably just got stronger.

@Immortal Reborn What nerfs are you refering to? (no aggressiveness, I'm genuinely curious)

Sylvan ranger is gone... Traded for a terrible card. Most decks that needed them for fixing just got a bit worse...

@Haven_pt Omg o.o I didn't know. Thank you for the answer, where did you guys got that from? Twitter? Would you be kind enough to link me to whoever is(are) the guy(s) who keeps posting these little updates? I don't know who they are, I just see people commenting about them, thanks!

Or a 2-color deck.

Might start seeming more mono colored decks than the occasional WW or RDW. Not sure if this set will give us the tools we need for that or if we'll have to wait for the next set release...

Could also go abzan if you like superfriends. They don't need the mana fixing as much but still have most of the same good stuff.

Hmm... we have aura tutoring, and now we have an aura that's actually worth tutoring up, Angelic Destiny. Could one tutorable mythic rare give some legs to the aura deck? I feel like a cheap lifelink critter suddenly turns into a game-swinging win condition, and the aura is not as easy to get rid of as usual. Even then, we have Auramancer.

Now, losing Sylvan Ranger to this piece of jank Ainok Guide is just not cool. Green will find ways around it, but this is going to shake up decks worse than losing Perilous Myr, I think. I will say this though... it seems like they may be paying attention to the current metagame as opposed to a metagame from 4 months ago. They're not eyeballing ramp, they're eyeballing superfriends and various other 3+ color decks.

Remember that destiny doesn't return to hand until it is on the field, so telegraphing it with a tutor is a bit risky.

That's when you make the control deck keep their mana open for the rest of the game while you beat them in the face. ^_~ (I know it's not always that easy.)

They're not eyeballing anything, they just analyze off the chart card frequencies (look at the cards that most frequently appear in all of the decks built by players on duels. Then go, oh that card must be overpowered!) with D cards and swap them with worse versions.
The fact that it has impact on dominant decks is a result of them being dominant, or the most played (net-decking and spike player base do the rest).
Why do you think they didn't add any PW hate? They haven't really got a clue in terms of meta and how to ballance it.
