A card like Bedlam Reveler is so wasted on Duels though. I mean I can see this thing being played in modern delver maybe (this is a decent play at 3/4 mana to refuel), but it's just way too slow to come online for our environment.

Ulvenwald Observer would be a wasted slot too (why couldn't we get Iskhanah); and if we get Sanctifier of Souls over Thalia's Lancers I'm gonna be damn sad. Besides that I guess Mind's Dilation feels like probably could be used in Simic Ramp for funsies, but it's not a good card outside of commander at all. I'd prefer Nibilis of Frost

Bear in mind that I made a list of Rares I think we'll get, not a list of the best Rares in the Set.

Sure I understand, I just said that I can take peace with that, although like, I don't understand why anyone would decide to give us Ulvenwald Observer? I mean brand recognition sure but LOTR is so last decade. Penetrating Mass is also a rare and 10 times as fun

I agree on his U list. Black...Stromkirk or Cryptbreaker might be right. I could see them doing Noosegraf for one of those. I THINK they're wrong though; I think we're getting Dark Salvation for sure (big story line moment - we usually get those) and I'm HOPING for Voldaren Pariah. That thing opens so many doors, maybe even MBC.

Red's probably correct. The only real variable is if they give us Harmless Offering on the basis of a future combo. The White, I'm hoping for Lancers over Sanctifier too. I know I'd never run the latter.

I hope he's just terribly wrong about the G. Screw the Observer, I want Permeating Mass. He's missing a fifth, too. Splendid Reclamation has my vote.

Granted, my list (aside from Dark Salvation) is what I HOPE we'll get, not necessarily what I THINK we'll get. They're going to throw some trash at us in at least one colour.

I'd prefer to see an extra Blue rare over that poor mythic, so many more interesting things they could include. Same with Green too.

I included Observer and Sanctifier because they are Intro pack Rares and they usually give us some of those, although not all of them.

I had Dark Salvation there, but I wasn't really sure if they story moment in question is depicted in the card. Probably replaces Cryptbreaker.

I had one less in Green because there are fewer Green Rares than the other colors. I was going to include one less Rare in Red, thinking that they could consider Battlements as filling the whole there, but the extra Red Rare felt more likely to me than the other options in Green (again, not really what I want, but what I think is likely).

tbh, I could see it being decent, but not good enough to actually take any slots away from current options. You aren't going to play it over Woodland Belower, or Greenwarden, etc... ... ...

Fel, any reason for only 4 green rares when hanweir's battlements is as much of a red card as decimator of the provinces is a green card?

I just realised EMN has a card called Thraben foulbloods, which is a reference to our lord and saviour in DOTP 2015 Thraben Purebloods! Which as we all know used to tear up the meta alongside Brimaz and Baneslayer...

Too bad they had to ruin the flavour by making the foulbloods not 100% terrible

Based on past experience probably not. White variety aggro decks would be nuts with this.

It's not out of the realm. If it does come into the meta, it'll be very situational anyway; would be horrible if you run into the mirror.

Just looked at the set again, white nonrare cards feel all pretty weak and the rate of good white rares to bad rares feels 50/50.

To me the best 3 white nonrares look like:
Long road home
that escalate spell with 3 modes that somehow all read as "laught at aggro, cringe vs. Control"
And the cantripping 3/4.
With maybe exradicator of sins and desperate soldier being decent if them and topplegeist are enought to carry a delirium deck alone and lone rider possibly doing stuff since I might be underrating it.
