While this pick is obviously Gaea's Embrace, I think it is important to point out Soul Strings is a rather good card. As is the 1/5 flier. Balduvian Trading Post might also be relevant/good, but WHO KNOWS!?!

You're a few picks late.

Awkward. Somehow missed that there was another page.

Should I feel bad for liking Pallid Micoderm here? I know we don't really have to follow our Gaea's Embrace pick, but I like that card a lot, and Fireball is super easy to splash.

But I guess Ghostfire is just as easy to splash, and if you're splashing for fireball you're splashing for ghostfire too.

So I guess Ghostfire is the pick.

The mauler seems pretty solid to me.

Off color unfortunately, but that seems like a late specter.

The fact we have protection and fliers everywhere means that warmonger will probably not hurt us much. That's why I like it anyway. Mauler is also amazing fat, and catapult wouldn't be the worst if we didn't already have fliers and removal.

Ah well, looks like I'll be joining this draft after all. :-P

I like the Warmonger, but there's a BIG risk in playing it. It's always possible for our opponent to kill it by spending 6 mana while they have an empty board, but unless we deal damage quickly, they might be able to use this to kill us! Any player being able to use that ability is a massive risk.

I'd pick the Mauler.

I think it's pretty clear we are going to go naya no matter what.

nothing is ever clear in a community draft.

There's a difference between GWr and full on naya. I would avoid the latter if at all possible and warmonger is not a card worth splashing for.

Draft will be super slow so I don't think three color will be a problem. I never have much of a problem splashing one or two colors in draft even without fixing.

Barkhide Mauler looks good. Warmonger looks like a card I will misplay and loose a game badly because of.
