You mean double it with Geistblast? Wouldn't you need to be discarding 3+ to make that practical? And at that point, isn't a general sweeper more useful than 4 cards overall?

Nahiri's Wrath is a card that always requires spending itself and more, so spending a total of 2 to kill 1, or 3 to kill 2. Usually it's the other way, find cards that kill many things for one card. I can only see myself playing this in cases of extreme emergency, and in those cases I don't like to fall back on sorceries.

Seriously, it basically turns every card in your hand into removal.

Cast Nahiri's Wrath, discard a 3 cmc card, a 4 cmc card, and a land, and kill a 7 toughness creature and 2 planeswalkers. It's amazing. Any deck that maintains a real hand late is loving it. It will absolutely break the Superfriends mirror and any type of Jeskai or Grixis Control will love it.

And then you activate madness off it for the lulz.

Card inefficiency to sweep walkers is more than worth it.

Every card in your hand except itself. That's key.
If you've each got a 4 card hand, you removed 3 - granted, your choice of their best 3 - but still they have a card advantage because you spent the Wrath to turn every other card into that removal.

Yes. I spent 4 cards to deal with 3. To sweep game-ending threats. Like, maybe you literally did want "RX, Nahiri's Wrath deals X damage to all Planeswalkers". But you aren't getting that. This is mass Planeswalker removal. It's an amazing card.

Lightning Axe is "inefficient" too, but it's still a great card.

I feel like zombie tribal has three problems, compared to something like Ally or Elf tribal,
1, no matter how slow the overall gameplay, or how much you forcibly slow it down, many zombies are 1 turn slower than that because they enter tapped.
2, there's a general lack of evasion, so the only real plan is sheer numbers.
3, they're doubly vulnerable since so much of the strategy is tokens, so many delay effects become elimination effects.

Also they are really vulnerable to board wipes. The reason that G/W is playable is that their creatures are */+3 and they survive not only Kozilek Returns, Biting rain and sometimes even radiant flames.

If you make 15 zombie token and your opponent at end step Kozi Returns you are done.

Ok so basically Wild Mongrel is back... Or almost. This card is going to be nuts.

The thing with zombies is you need to read the enemy deck very well. You need to bait their mass removal when you can and know what options you have available. I feel like there are plenty of threats in the zombie deck that the opponent may feel pressured to use Declaration in Stone on it before they can hit your stack of tokens.

"Stunning Regrowth"
3G
Sorcery
Return all land cards from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.

and

Wolfkin Bond
4G
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature

When Wolfkin Bond enters the battlefield, put a 2/2 green Wolf creature token onto the battlefield.

Enchanted creature gets +2/+2.

I think I like stunning regrowth for my sultai rez deck. As Pieces of the Puzzle will snag me my spells. This snags all the lost lands, and of course my rez spells grab my creatures.

Now this is a card I want to play with. T4 Stunning Growth into T5 The Gitrog Monster would be fun. You could also probably play it in a landfall deck; even getting more value from your Evolving Wilds even though they come into play tapped.

Regrowth does have some pretty nice synergy with Fork in the Road.

Alright WotC, alright. If we get this card, I will finally put some stupid copies of Evolving Wilds into my decks.

Can I just change topic for a bit. That latest story entry is pretty rad. Nahiri is a badass. And Sorin, I thought you were cool with mad skills. But huh? Is that all you got?

Alright, a flavor response here. That was a pretty badass addition to the stories, I have to say, and I feel like Sorin has spent just a bit too long wallowing in hubris so something like this happening is pretty well-deserved. While condemning an entire plane to a fate worse than death is not a reasonable response to losing your own (that just makes YOU the eldrazi, or Hitler, or whatever), one does have to admire how complete her planning was, and how well she managed to improvise when things went off-script. I guess the question is, where does she go from here, and what does she think of the whole situation when she learns that Zendikar was not, in fact, annihilated? I don't think it would improve her reaction to Sorin, but it might give her some severe guilt over what she did to Innistrad. If not, perhaps she is an ancient sociopath like Nicol Bolas (or even Sorin!) now.

As to Working Together, while it's a powerful and versatile card, I have this to say about the art:

I would guess she planeswalked back to Zendikar to see it for the last time but will be surprised to see that the plane is quite fine and surviving. As for the power rangers, they will save Innistrad and save Sorin. Then Sorin will hunt Nahiri. But who knows... Maybe upon the death of Emrakul, a mega Eldrazi will appear. Ugin mentioned something about the 3 are just the hands of something out there.

Re Working Together, the designers mentioned that there's a card with similar art and that Gideon is fierce and enthusiastic leading the allies. He's not very happy leading a pack of zombies in this version. But cool card. Lot's of utility. Escalate cost is not that hard.

White gets another solid, low cost card. The rich get richer.

What did you expect them to do, not print any white cards in this set? It's a good color already, any new card they print just adds to it.
